Coming to a City Near You

Guess who’s coming to California State University at Sacramento? None other than CAIR — only this time they’re pairing Japanese American students with Muslim American students for a three hour workshop: “Voices Unite in Solidarity; Japanese American Students and Muslim American Experiences Post-9/11.”

Makes sense, given all the recent and multiple Japanese-American underwear, shoe, and body-cavity bombers. Gotta stop those Japanese jihadists.

On March 2, 2010 (smack-dab in the middle of the by-now infamous Israeli Apartheid week), California students will be helped to understand that the racist views that led to the 20th century internment of Japanese American citizens during Word War II is, come to think of it, happening all over again. But this time it’s happening to Muslim American students who are being persecuted and treated as badly as Israel allegedly mistreats the Palestinians and as America once treated the native Indians, the African slaves, immigrants, the impoverished — the way Americans and Israelis have always treated all the innocent, noble underdogs.

God bless the internet. God bless Pajamas Media. Why? Because of our most excellent readers. A reader, one Ibn Rawandi, wrote to me about this very workshop in Sacramento. With his permission, allow me to share his letter with you:

Dear Dr. Chesler,

I’ve been reading your blog for over a year now and it’s been a wonderful source for eye-opening stories that never get the light of day. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights and they’ve been much appreciated. A little background about myself and I’ll make my point very quick. I’m currently studying Liberal Arts and I’ve already completed my minor in Science. This to me is a wonderful achievement given that I was born in Saudi Arabia. I am now an ex-Muslim atheist living in the U.S.

I wish only that those who are oppressed can see that Islam curtails freedom. I think Islam has oppressed people for too long and it does not deserve the type of luxurious treatment that the PC world gives it, including the academics. Recently, I learned that our campus is holding a 3-hour long workshop — a joint Japanese American and Muslim American event. The idea behind the workshop is to draw similarities between treatment of Japanese Americans during World War II and Muslim Americans after 9/11. So members from the Japanese American group and also members from CAIR are going to be doing this joint event. I find this troubling. Now, I do understand that Muslims have been discriminated against but it’s not just them. What about us ex-Muslims who’ve had to face Muslims outright hatred of us. We’ve been discriminated against and alienated. What about us ex-Muslims who get attacked for being non-believers? Will the university ever acknowledge that Muslims do this to us? Hard to say.

CAIR is co-sponsoring the event so there’s going to be Muslims trying to win over people by playing the Islam is peace-card. Do you see a problem with this type of event? At least the message? The event is being held at our campus Multi-cultural Center. As an ex-Muslim I really feel that the professors who should be there to protect my freedom have abandoned me. I felt suffocated as a Muslim without any freedom and when I left Islam and broke free from the chains I was able to breathe again. And I thought that I would never have to face Islam again. I waved goodbye to it and life was great. But, little did I know that this would be short-lived. The liberal left seems to be siding with those who had me silenced for 20 years. I can’t seem to accept this type of appeasement.

I don’t talk to many Muslims anymore. They represent a really bad history for me. But yet they aren’t going away. Instead, they are infiltrating my arena, my school. The arena where critical thought is supposed to be held in high esteem. Regardless, I can cleverly hide from the enemies knowing that they could do harm to me. Being a shadow cleverly moving among those who oppress me has been both hard and easy. I enjoy the fruits of knowledge and feel protected under the U.S. Constitution, but yet fear that Sharia law could be implemented and fear losing my freedom of choice. Unfortunately, this event, and others like it, leave me fearful. I’d like your thoughts on this please. Am I alone? Are these fears genuine?

I immediately answered Ibn Rawandi and told him that his fears were well founded. I asked him whether I could share his letter and, under his adopted pseudonym, he quickly agreed.

Of course Everyone should have Islamic/-ist Symbols at Disposal, to be displayed, Everytime they meet Islamic people. Islamic/-ist people are so indoctrinated that they do not recognize Anything else but their own Symbols and Ideology. The Rest of the World counts Nothing to them (they just ab-use of it in order to take Profit from it – Period). If it was up to them, the entire World was already and completely islamist-ised. There is no Difference between Islam and any other sado-masochist Totalitarianism: and Islam is as dangerous (for Humanity) as any other sado-masochist Totalitarianism is.

  2. ” On March 4th, in Toronto, the University of Toronto Students Against Israeli Apartheid will hold an event called “Coming Out Against Apartheid: Queer Solidarity Activism.”

Excuse me, have these “queers” any idea of how Islam will embrace them ? I suppose the low intellectual functioning of people who use derogatory names to describe sexual preferences prevents consideration of the outcome of their political actions. The desire is to be seen as tough, to act out an unexamined rage rather than any true vision of social change.

Two things readers may wish to know. For those in the NYC area who are livid at the fact that most Israel Apartheid Week events go unchallenged by the respective school’s administration or student body (Jewish or non-Jewish), you can now participate in a counter-protest.

As mentioned in Dr. Chesler’s article, the haters of Jews and Israel with demonstrate against the Jewish state at the Friends of the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) gala dinner to be held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on March 9th. The keynote speaker at this dinner will be Lt. General Gabi Ashkenazi, Chief of the IDF General Staff.

A group called Al-Awda New York – The Palestine Right to Return Coalition will be holding a demonstration outside the hotel to protest Ashkenazi’s appearance, referring to him on their web site as “the butcher of Gaza”, claiming that “he belongs in prison, not at the Waldorf”. Their site further claims that, “on March 9th, there will be a $1000-a-plate fundraising dinner for the Israeli Occupation Forces, which murdered 1,400 Palestinians, including more than 400 children in Gaza last year. The criminal Gabi Ashkenazi, Chief of the IDF General Staff will be there. We will be there too!”

I have been informed that the HRCARI (Human Rights Coalition Against Radical Islam) will organize a counter protest, in full support of the IDF and the right of the State of Israel to defend herself against Hamas terrorism and the onslaught of Kassam rockets into Israel. The HRCARI will publicize the fact that rulers of Gaza; (Hamas) waged a cleverly devised propaganda campaign against Israel by using their own women and children as human shields in the war, placing their lives in danger in order to portray Israel as a ruthless war machine that engages in wanton war crimes against civilian populations.

On the very next day, March 10th, it appears that Bard College, a/k/a the second most liberal college in the country (just ask Dr. Chesler) will be sponsoring an IAW lecture featuring the likes of the chief propagandist and apologist for the haters of Israel. Namely, Norman Finkelstein, the political science professor who was denied tenure at DePaul University in Illinois because of spurious scholarship.

Yes, the same Norman Finkelstein who penned a book called The Holocaust Industry (2000) in which he claims that Jews are exploiting the Holocaust to make money and to deflect from their role in oppressing the Palestinian people. The same Norman Finkelstein who traveled to Lebanon to speak at a Hezbollah political rally against Israel. The same Norman Finkelstein who has been banned from Israel (2008) for the next ten years because he poses a security threat. The same Norman Finkelstein who is the subject of a sympathetic documentary about his life called “American Radical” in which the filmmakers present him as a tortured hero; a man who “speaks the truth” and is persecuted for it.

    http://bard.apartheidweek.org/

I think the pro-Israel forces in the NYC area should demand that a speaker representing a different view on Israel such as Bard alumna Dr. Phyllis Chesler be allowed to speak. Kudos to the HRCARI for holding a counter protest on the 9th and praise also goes to the David Horowitz Freedom Center for organizing their own speakers on college campuses during IAW week.

Islamic Apartheid Month – not specific enough for me. These Israeli apartheid week organizers focus on “palestine” and I think the pro-Israel folks would do better to expose the “palestinians” as who and what they really are — non descript arab pawns used to destroy Israel.

I would like to know if the Japanese American students are participating in this charade and utter nonsense out of their own free will, or because of FEAR and intimidation? Will frightened Japanese American students ever tell us?

Broadcast from Gaza mosque, Oct 13 2000, Dr. Ahmad Abu Halabiya, on Palestinian Authority TV (transcribed by Memri): “Have no mercy on the Jews, no matter where they are, in any country. Fight them, wherever you are. Wherever you meet them, kill them. Wherever you are, kill those Jews and those Americans who are like them…”

  6. Greenconsciousness,
You raise a good point. Israel has annual gay-pride parades in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and drafts openly gay men and women into its armed forces. On the other hand, homosexuals are hanged in Iran and subject to honor murders in most of the Arab world.
Similarly, Israel’s Golda Meir was the first woman head of government who was neither the daughter (like Indira Gandhi, daughter of Nehru) nor the wife (like Sirimavo Bandaranaike) of a previous head of government. Feminists and gay-rights activists forget their own interests when it comes to Israel. Like the Palestinians, who could have had a state in 1947 and could have one today, Palestinians are totally selfless. Palestinians and gays and feminists don’t care about themselves; they want to do what they consider virtuous: to destroy Israel and all its Jewish and Arab citizens.

  7. Islam relegates women to second class status or worse. Is this not a crime? Islam approves Muslim sex perverts to “marry” prepubescent little girls in a forced “marriage,” and then allows Muslim sex perverts to legally rape said little girls. It’s in the Qur’an. Is this not a crime?

Islam approves the hanging of effeminate males by the neck until dead. Is this not a crime? The Taliban Islamists kill female students who seek an education. Is this not a crime? Islam approves the murder of apostates from Islam who no longer wish to participate in Islamic criminal activity, either directly or indirectly. Is this not a crime of Islam? Islam approves Honor Killing. Is this not a crime? Islam allows husbands to beat their wives, but wives cannot strike back. Is this not an Islamic crime? Islam teaches hatred especially of Jews and Christians. Is this not a crime?

Look, all these acts are crimes that cry to heaven for vengeance. Since Islam participates in criminal activity, why can’t Islam be called an Islamic Crime Syndicate? ISLAM IS TRULY AN ISLAMIC CRIME SYNDICATE! Prove otherwise.

CELEBRATING 9/11 AT THE FBI By: Paul Sperry
    FrontPageMagazine.com February 11, 2004

When linguist Sibel Dinez Edmonds showed up for her first day of work at the FBI, a week after the 9-11 attacks, she was offered cookies filled with dates from party bowls in the room where other Middle Eastern linguists with top-secret security clearance translate terror-related communications.

She knew the dessert is customarily served in the Middle East at weddings, births and other celebrations, and asked what the happy occasion was. To her shock, she was told the Arab linguists were celebrating the terrorist attacks on America. Right in front of her supervisor, one translator cheered:

“It’s about time they got a taste of what they’ve been giving the Middle East.”

She found out later that it was her supervisor’s wife who helped organize the party. the supervisor…he’s been promoted since then.
    http://97.74.65.51/readArticle.aspx?ARTID=14210

Celebrating the murders of 3,000 innocents 9/11 even gets you PROMOTED in the FBI.

  9. 9. Linda Rivera

It is non-Muslims who are persecuted and rapidly losing rights! The lives of non-Muslims are regarded as absolutely WORTHLESS.

Washington regard Muslims as very special; superior to all others, who must never ever be offended in the slightest way, even if it costs the loss of many innocent lives. Muslims are granted victory in everything. It was well known by the authorities that the Fort Hood Muslim attacker was a very significant terrorist threat.

The authorities are guilty of allowing the slaughter of innocents. Instead of showing grief and asking for forgiveness for the terrorist massacre, our leaders said their biggest concern was that there would be a backlash against Muslims (there has never been a backlash).

The lives of non-Muslims are regarded as expendable and worthless. How many more non-Muslim innocents will be murdered whose deaths could have been one hundred percent prevented?

Sir, the jihadists are counting on the memories of the Japanese re WW2 and their fascistic cult of “suicide-bombing” and “hara-kiri”.

    Mr.Ibn Rawandi:

Thanks for your courage. To know that people like you exist gives us hope.

Like the liberal “fellow travelers” from the West that used to flock to Stalin’s Soviet Union, later to Mao’s China, and later Fidel’s Cuba, but could never live there (they usually stayed in Potamkin villages or hotels for a couple of months), many of these liberal professors, gay activists who favor Islam, and others of the same color, would not be able to live in your country of origin mingling with others, especially if they were not Muslims themselves.

Know that these people are sick. Unfortunately they are sick but not harmless. No, they are extremely dangerous, for they worship death, decay, and everything that is foul and dark.

Islam is an evil religion. Its founder, Mohammed, verily a scourge of the earth. As I have done before, please allow me to point you and others to the description of Mohammed by the great Swami Vivekananda in his 1895 book “Raja Yoga”, page 81. Muslims praying to Allah often end up in the presence of the Evil One.

As for me, in part like you, I do not befriend active Muslims, only engage them if needs be to counter them, nor I expend a penny in a Muslim store or outfit, in person or online; I constantly try to let people know about the dangers of Islam, and donate to entities that fight the Islamo-fascist ideology.

And again, there is not such a thing as “radical Islam”, there is only Islam, as radical as it can be.

As I recall, the Japanese were just racist as the Americans during WW2, especially in regards to those non-white races in the greater Japanese co-prosperity sphere–you know, those South East Asian peoples who were not Japanese. Actually imperial Islam has nothing to do with race, and since we are beyond race today, I personally see no problems with Gitmo or concentration camps for Muslims who have behavioral difficulties with other cultures and people. Some people call that torture, I call it aversion therapy. Given San Francisco’s large bondage and domination community and affinities for golden showers I could never quite figure out their distaste for water boarding.

  21. 21. Cranky Canadian

Isn’t it just pathetic how people who should, on any logical basis, support Israel – feminists, gays, etc. – are so blinded by hatred that they vilify Israel at every opportunity?

And not just any people – educated people who will someday become influencers and leaders (G-d forbid).

I have been involved in Israel advocacy for a long time, and I am running out of patience when it comes to talking to these people.

Firstly, I am a Christian but pride goeth before a fall and I have no place for pride in my personal faith in God.

Secondly, people would have no problems with Muslims in non-muslim dominant countries if they [Muslims] actually assimilate into the country they are in rather than trying to force their own beliefs upon a society/culture or worse yet, try and get by with bloody murder >i>because and only because of their supposed ‘religious’ beliefs.

If I don’t know you’re Muslim and you don’t know I’m a Christian and we can walk out to the same mailbox and say hello to each other with kindness in our eyes, then, I think that is a GOOD thing.

  26. 26. Laura

aussie muslim, it is ironic that you make such a statement since it is muslims who refuse to live with others. It is muslims who are the most intolerant of any other group. Why don’t non-muslims have freedom of worship in muslim countries?

    9. You’re totally Right. Elisabeth Sabaditsh-Wolff said that she was in an Islamized Country when 9/11 happened and Someone rioted into her House saying “Jews/Zionists did it!” ….

But actually, 9/11 was celebrated all around the Islamic and Islamized World, and several Islamic Communities (for Instance in the West) threat Others to accomplish ANOTHER 9/11 as soon as their Sensitivities get hurted.

    #23:
“Isn’t it just pathetic how people who should, on any logical basis, support Israel – feminists, gays, etc. – are so blinded by hatred that they vilify Israel at every opportunity?”

There is a logic to it. These gays, feminists, and other progressive types DESPISE Western Civilization, period. They want to see the Eurocentric West collapse by any means necessary. In the 1980′s and before, it was the Soviet Union and communism that embodied the strong horse that would “bury” the West. After 2001, the progressives found their strong horse: Islam.

The methodology was simple: PC and multiculturalism acted as the AIDS virus to kill off the defenses of the West. Since Muslims are considered “people of color” and an “oppressed minority,” any criticism of or strong action against radical Muslims is deemed racism, which is a far worse crime than murder in the eyes of progressives. Murder, you see, has “root causes” but racism must be expunged. By crippling our defenses, jihadism has now metastasized throughout the body of the West. The cancer is far more advanced in Europe, where “offense to Islam” is a capital crime that can have you brought up on serious charges. Even if your criticism of Islam is true, as the Dutch court says, it is illegal.

Since the leaders of the free world will not fight the cancer of radical Islam (chemo or radiotherapy must be racist), it is only a matter of time before the Western world expires.

The progressives believe that once the hated Euroamerica is destroyed, a multiculti progressive new world order will arise, as the Islamists will have no excuse for terror as their sources of oppression are addressed. The progressives see themselves as the ones who will rule, separated from the masses, and allow the Islamic shock troops to keep the masses in line. But they will find out that Muslims will not allow this. When the gays find themselves hanged from cranes, and feminists find themselves dismissed from jobs and schools and placed in burkas, it will be too late.

It will be poetic justice to see the progressives live in the Islamic world they helped to create. For those who will not submit, the ultimate solution will be to take over a large, defensible state like Alaska and secede. In the long run, we must separate from the suicidal West, that is the only way to fight the cancer of jihadist Muslims and survive, since the leaders of the West have deemed the lives of Christians and Jews worthless.

Shame Phyllis Chesler’s very own staff who man her incoming mail don’t agree.

I collect stories and news regarding the Jihad threatening us all and send them out to various media outlets and blogs.

Some pick up on the obscure ones which often slip the net, some correspond, some thank me.

Not Phyllis Chesler’s organisation who without explanation sent me a curt, ‘Please stop sending emails’.

Mystified as to why information can be such a worrysome thing to deal with I emailed back, asking why. After all,if unwanted, the easiest thing in the world is to press delete. I also pointed that out.

This tiny request resulted in such a whining and insulting response I wondered where I’d stumbled.

A/ An organisation reaching out to fellow travellers who are concerned at the sweeping, all pervasive islamisation going on all around us? (I live in Britain if that’s a clue.)

B/ A closed minded high and mighty group who view any assistance and help as superfluous because they already know it all?

I’ve read quite a few on Phyllis Chesler’s books. I follow her blogs. I admire her and other women such as Melanie Phillips (who also receives copies of the stories and so far has not objected.)

    What gives?

Let’s remember the updated and more accurate definition of racist:

RACIST: 1. Slang: Extremely Disparaging and Offensive term for a white person. 2: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities, if promoted by white people. 3: a belief that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race, if promoted by white people.

Thank you, Dr. Chesler, for this very informative article.

The Japanese are often so naive to fall for Islamic bigotry. I am rather concerned for them.

My husband is a Japanese American, and we are living in Germany, where we are exposed to Islam which we could really do without. We realize its final aim: Get government positions, install Sharia–and “there will be peace” (my foot).

  39. 39. 4infidels

Yes, fight fire with fire! Hold their religious-political-theocratic worldview and its impact on their own societies–the gender and religious apartheid–up to the light and put them on the defensive. Make comparisons to the treatment of Jews and Christians under Islam to blacks in the Jim Crow South. Talk about slavery in the Islamic world. Talk about Jihad as a means of Arab linguistic and cultural imperialism–how Kurdish language and culture and Berber language and culture and black African language and culture must all disappear in favor of those superior peoples who brought the gift of Islam along with their swords. Embarrass women’s groups, gay rights groups, free speech advocates, the tolerance crowd for becoming silent and cowardly when the people they supposedly stand for are mistreated in the Muslim world. Show the Palestinian Arab and Muslim side for the hypocrites that they are when they talk about human rights in Israel but don’t apply the even minimal standards to themselves where they rule. And rather than hold up the peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan as examples of Israel’s willing to make peace with Arabs who seek peace, use Egyptian and Jordanian incitement to hatred and violence, anti-semitism and violation of agreements as evidence that even the most “moderate” can’t reconcile themselves to coexistence with Israel and don’t keep even the most minimal commitments to which they have put their signature. Portray the current Islamization of Europe as the latest attempt to “colonize” non-Muslim lands. Talk about 70-80 million Hindus killed and the ethnic cleansing of Pakistan of Hindus and others and the miserable atrocities constantly committed against Christians across the Muslim world, from Egypt to Iraq to “moderate” Indonesia. Show quotes from Muslim heads of state like Ibn Saud talking about those who kill Jews going to heaven to Ahmadinejad saying there are no gays in Iran to Muhammad of Malaysia blaming the Jews for inventing human rights so the world would think its wrong to persecute them. Point out al the Nazi-Islamic connections from the Grand Mufti forming the Bosnia SS to the admiration of the Muslim Brotherhood for fascism and even the supposedly “peace-loving” Sadat imprisoned by the British for his Nazi ties and Sadat’s wearing a Nazi tie when he spoke in Jerusalem. Show the amount of money that the Saudis and other rich Arabs have actually contributed to their beloved Palestinians and to other impoverished Arabs and Muslims, or to Muslims suffering from natural disasters. Compare Saudi, UAE, Qatari humanitarian aid to the money spent on Mosques, Maddrassas and in support of jihadi terrorist groups. Show their non-Muslim supporters exactly who it is they are supporting and how this clashes with their stated values, so that they have no choice but to either change their values or stop making common cause with the enemies of Israel. There is so much material out there and so many ways to put them on the defensive. But we have to stop with the “language of dialogue,” stop seeking to validate their narrative and stop fearing that others might not like us for speaking up. We must hold up the enemy to ridicule for their stupid and contradictory beliefs and poke fun at their sacred cows. And we must make it hard for any non-Muslim or any “respectable” professor to support the Islamists without being exposed for violating the basic values that their university is supposed to uphold.

There is no escaping that to win this war, we must make Islam and not “The Palestinians” the issue. The war against Israel is a classic jihad, not a fight between two tiny peoples. We must ask our opponents who bring up these issues basic questions: Does Islam call for the death of those who change their (Muslim) religion? Do Islam call for 2nd class treatment for non-muslims? Does Islam call for jihad until all the world falls under the rule of sharia? Does the whole world belong to Islam? And listen to them stammer and stumble not wanting to denounce the tenets of their own faith but not wanting to let infidels know about their real values, goals and agenda as it is laid out in the Koran, the Hadiths and the Sira. We have to have facts ready to follow up on the usual apologetics and half-truths that they have so long gotten away with offering to naive infidels. You see Islam is a supremacist religion and Muslims believe that their victory is preordained. So far they have had it easy in American and Europe as they have had their temper tantrums indulged and their “grievances” acknowledged, because they have portrayed themselves as victims of racism, colonialism and imperialism and because too many in power on the Left see a willing army they can align with in their fight against capitalism and Western civilization. But you will see how quickly the Muslims will become uncomfortable when they are truly challenged, when they are called on their B.S., when they are put on the spot. They can’t take the heat as they are bullies used to dominating others either through might or intimidation. We know the bully is a coward when the tables are turned. Those that think it is their G-d given right to reign supreme start to lose their confidence when their opponents push back and show they aren’t intimidated and aren’t going down without a fight. I’m not talking about violence, just a refusal to back down and a willingness to take the verbal, rhetorical and intellectual offensive against an enemy that is hoping to defeat us without ever having to fire a shot. There is no way we should not be able to humiliate and demoralize the Islamists in the battle of ideas, if only we are willing to realize that there will never be constructive dialogue and never be mutual recognition and acceptance since we don’t share the same values. That said, it is time to take the verbal gloves off and make them wish they had never open their mouths and defamed Israel, the Jewish people, all non-Muslims, the United States or Western Civilization. Since they can’t win on the battlefield, are we really going to let them win in the media, through the legal system and in the court of public opinion?

It is about time the part of the world that doesn’t want to live in dhimmitude started doing more than talking. After a problem has been identified it is then time to take action. The problem has been identified; the problem is Islam, not “radical Islam”, but Islam. It is Islam that enslaves and oppresses the “Palestinians”, not Israel. It is time for an Islamic apartheid month. It is time there are demonstrations for Israel; demonstrations that speak out the truth about Islam. There is no moderate Islam; Islam will never reform; Islamic immigrants will never assimilate; they do not go to other countries to assimilate; they go to other countries to spread Islam; they go to other countries because Islam can’t provide the necessities of life; the followers of Islam are NOT victims of Israel, America, or any other country; they are first last and everywhere in between victims of Islam. Muslims may deserve pity but certainly not sympathy. The time has come for those who wish to preserve civilization to stop playing only defense and go on the offensive.

    Aussie Muslim,
I am an American living under the US Constitution. If you are here, you had best learn to live with us, because we aren’t going away either. To imagine anything different is just plain folly.

The Swiss, The Canadians and the French are teaching that lesson, each in their own way. Don’t imagine that we won’t follow if necessary. We may be tolerant but we are not stupid.

If I were to live in a Muslim country, and I would sooner have pins in my eyes, I would be forced to integrate, not colonize.

The number of Americans growing weary of your kind of threatening tone is growing.

    In other words, shove it.

  42. 42. Apostle of Love

Phyllis Chester is like those lily-white southern ladies who defend lynching in order to avenge “wronged womanhood.” The genocidal racism of the State of Israel against Muslims is orders of magnitude more monstrous than anything Hitler ever dreamed of. Israel has turned the entire West Bank and Gaza strip into their own Auchwitz and Dachau. If genteel women like Chester wax indignant over the sexism of impoverished dark-skinned Muslim men then they should examine the roles of U.S. imperialism and corporate greed have in making them that way.

U.S. imperialism keeps Muslim lands such as Saudi Arabia prostrate before rapacious American corporate kingpins who steal all of their oil. They sit unarmed and helpless before the armies of the genocidal behemoth America whose soldiers are stationed on their lands. They know those soldiers will only cooperate if and when Israel decides to wipe them off the face of the earth. (Fear of contamination of oil fields is the only reason America has not given Israel the go-ahead to nuke Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, and all other Muslim lands.)

Muslim sexism comes from the frustration of being the most oppressed people on earth. If they were freed of imperialism, corporate greed, and the looming threat of genocide the women’s issues would take care of themselves.

On another note, this attempt by CAIR to hijack the reputation and sympathies of the Japanese is a particularly abject and disgusting offense.

There is no comparison, and no common point between the Japanese experience of WWII, here or in Japan, and 9/11 or any other aspect of the jihad.

Certainly I don’t see mohammedans being rounded up and herded off to internment camps.

And the concealed, covert, lying ways of the jihaddi have nothing in common with the Samurai spirit that still lives within the Japanese people today.

Even the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor was comparatively valiant compared to the sneak thief jihaddi methods of 9/11 and countless other attacks on unarmed unoffending civilians.

    ジハディが卑劣で魂のない悪賢い畜生

Neither is there anything in the spiritual life of Japan that is faintly comparable to the filthy, blood thirsty hatreds and oppressions embedded in the mohammedan religious canon.

As it happens, the mohammedans, viewing the Japanese as too rich, too soft naive pushovers, appear to have decided on the sweet words and crocodile tears approach to the Japanese.

They appear to be scheduling the attack on Japan for a more propitious moment at some undetermined time in the future. For the time being they just want some of that nice Japanese money.

I’m fully aware that there are some really dumb, know-nothing, brainwashed Japanese kids in the American leftist schools.

But I hope there are few who are so abjectly stupid as to mourn the civilians of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on one side of their mind, and make common cause with the authors of 9/11 murders on the other.

I hope they have heard a bit of news from Thailand — where Buddhist farmers and school teachers are being mowed down in the streets — simply for being there.

I hope they realize that in the mohammedan scale of group ethics the Buddhists rate even lower than Jews and Christians.

I hope they realize that the practice of their normal social practices and religious observances would get them killed in much of the mohammedan world.

And I hope there is some bright and knowledgeable spirit like Ibn Rawandi on hand somewhere to set them straight.

    12. Juniper:

If this sort of thing interests you, you need to read up on Japan.

Hara kiri (cutting the belly) had nothing to do with cults or fascism. It was a particularly painful form of suicide reserved for very extreme circumstances. The history of the practice goes back centuries before WWII.

I’ve got to go, but I’ll say that there is no common ground between todays suicide bombers and the kamikaze special forces pilots.

As Japan ran out of bombs and armaments, their pilots threw themselves into the teeth of the invading force, to make up for the lack of bombs with their own planes and bodies.

They saw themselves as a last line of desperate defense, paying down their lives so that their country and families could LIVE.

There is no overlap between the Japanese ethic, where LIFE is the ultimate value, and the sick mindset of the suicide bomber.

Remember the jihaddi slogan, “we love death the way you love life”.

    NO common ground with Japan.

Japan has no death cults. Never did.

    joeblough,

All platitudes from Cair aside, the Japanese were quite brutal towards the Chinese, and the South Koreans. The Chinese were called the ‘sick man of Asia,’ and furthermore, they were quite brutal to U.S. prisoners of war. Live dissections, torture, etc. The Rape of Nanking ring any bells? I’d just like to point all that out when you portray the Japanese as valiant and spiritual fighters.

    53. Amazing, I did not know. I saw there is a Book and Movie about it – I think it is just Islamic people and Community which does not recognize and criticize all the Crimes it/they committed since the very Islamic Beginning. “It is Time to honor History”: very nice Sentence, that now HAS to be applied to Islam and Islamic people and Community.

    ***

Off Topic – Looking Forward: have you seen what happens with Jerusalem? Now Jewish (and Christian) Nests and holy Places had to be given to Islam: (Islamic people and Community) keep showing their Selfishness and Robbery – in Fact, their holy Places are placed in Mecca and Mendina, which they already (justly or not) belong, and where they forbid the Entry to Non-islamic people.

The Holy Land must absolutely belong to Jews (and Christians): it’s their Pilgrimage’s Place; it’s the Nest of their Religion/Faith – it belongs to their Culture and it is their very Cultural Heritage.

[And I am even sure that Islamic people and Community want to steal those Places to their very Owners, right to erase their Culture from Earth's Face and History. Shame on Anyone who supports Islam, Islamic people and Community in their Looting and Cultural/Ethnic/Religious Cleansing - which are now 14+ Centuries old.]

If you reread joeblough’s post he isn’t entering on the subject of Japanese brutaility but on the completely different roots of Kamikaze (individual giving his life for the community) versus jihadist (belief in sexual reward in the afterlife) motivations. AFAIK there is no paradise in shintoism.
As a side note kamizate attacks did not originate from lack of bombs but from the dramatic fall in pilot quality who, alongside with improved American planes and AA, made highly improbable they would be able to hit an American ship (both from being downed and from missing it). Thus the decision of giving a simpler (crashing instead of bombing), more lethal (plan’s frame and fuel adding its effects to the bomb’s plus easier to target a vital part of the ship) to their inexperienced pilots. It must be remembered that by the time the Japanese resorted to kamikazes emost Japanese pilots were unable to fly in formation and that 40% of their losses were from accidents.

Also the interment of Japanese-Americans during WWI was fully justified: for well over a year the US Navy had to fight a guerrilla war at sea as even after Midway it was unable to take the IJN frontally and had to rely on secrecy. A single disloyal Japanese, a single loyal one doing something as natural as having a few beers with fellow Japanese and talking too much would have meant the Japanese knowing that the American carriers were waiting for them at Midway and having their battleships protect their carriers with their considerable AA. That would have led to the American carriers being sunk in the Japanese counterattack, thousands of American lives being lost, with many more thousands lost reconquering what the Japanese would have conquered had they won. A single disloyal Japanese-American. Now, what can be argued is not the internment but the fact that Japanese Americans were not compensated for it.

    55. JFM:

Thanks for the clarification of my remarks.

And you were quite right. I was not addressing the issue of Japanese cruelty during the war, nor would I think of making excuses for it. It was what it was.

I will add that the Japanese themselves are acutely aware of the subject and most regard it a valid basis for regret and shame. Certainly everybody that I’ve met. If anything, there is a move on today to restore some measure of Japanese national pride into the school curriculum, as it has taken quite a beating since the war, primarily over the matter of wartime aggression and cruelty.

There is also very little enthusiasm in Japan today for miliitary matters generally — to a point that I and others I know find worrisome. It’s not as though Japan is altogether safe with North Korea armed and nuts just a couple of hours away. If anything I fear that Japan, living for so long under US military protection, has actually gotten a little too soft.

All that said, my comments about Japanese valor, samurai spirit and spritual life in Japan stand.

So does my assertion that there is no common ground between the psychology of jihad and the Japanese view or conduct of war, now or then. As well as my assertion that there is no common ground between mohammedan sprititual life and practice, and that of predominantly Buddhist and Shintoist Japan.

While Shinto does not have an otherworldly heaven as such Buddhists do have certain concepts different from but somewhat akin to the Judeo-Christian notion of heaven. But any Buddhist will tell you that killing people, whatever the circumstances, war or no war, is not the way to get there. ;-) Quite the contrary.

Ultimately, our own spiritual ways teach us that even at the best of times, most of us are a mix of vice and virtue. And that goes for most of our societies too. I am not about to condemn today’s Japanese for what their grandparents and great grandparents did during the war any more than I am going to condemn today’s Germans for what their antecedents did to my antecedents during that same war and the ages prior.

The case with the mohammedans is rather unique insofar as mohammedanism teaches as virtue attitudes and actions that most of the world understand to be deadly vices. It’s a horse of an entirely different color. And it colors, excuse the pun, their outlook on both war and crime. The jihaddis are implementing a deeply corrupt moral doctrine. And a deeply twisted mind set.

BTW I hadn’t known about the pilot training problem. I had always thought that their industrial capacity couldn’t keep up with demand as America approached the Japanese home islands. It’s an interesting if rather macabre light you shed on the subject.

  54. 54. joeblough

I occurs to me that I should add that today’s practice of admiring and promoting victimhood has created many susceptible targets for CAIR’s line of propaganda in the academic world.

Clearly CAIR sees an opportunity here to encourage feelings of victimhood among the Japanese kids and an opportunity to enlist their sympathies on the basis of some — imaginary but nonetheless appealing — sense of shared victimhood.

    Completely false. Completely inappropriate.

But it is completely in keeping with CAIR’s outlook and method, indeed all jihaddis’ outlook and method, to encourage vice in weak minds. It is a deeply deeply corrupt practice.

It turns my stomach to reflect on the fact that there will be some soft headed suckers in the audience who will swallow the bait hook, line and sinker.

As I said above, I hope there is some bright young spirit around like Ibn Rawandi to set them straight.

  55. 55. JFM

BTW I hadn’t known about the pilot training problem. I had always thought that their industrial capacity couldn’t keep up with demand as America approached the Japanese home islands. It’s an interesting if rather macabre light you shed on the subject.

Japan sure had an industrial problem when compared with the american industrial colossus but the pilot problem was still more acute. japan never developed the organization for mass producing good pilots so it could face the losses from a major war. It had produced a small number of superb pilots who, for instance worked on their reflexes by catching flies in flight (ie they tried to improve even when not flying, even when off duty) but Japand didn’t expand its flying academies and didn’t manage to shortne the training cycle. It worked as long as japanese pilots were able to get combat experience at little cost (in losses) in China. It ddn’t work once losses began piling up. That is why Japan lost at Midway much more than 4 carriers it lost over two hundred pilots totaling a gazillion flying hours. It wopuld take several years (assumming they survived) before their replacements could reach their peak of quality.

Compounding the problem is that well before the Americans were able to face the Zeroes in air to air combat the Japanese began losing many planes to the, much stronger than Chinese, American AA. Lets remind that their planes were basically unarmored and had no self sealing tanks. Zero’s speed and maneuverability was not achieved through revolutionary aerodynamics or by a powerful engine (only 900 HP) but by making it much lighter than Allied or German fighters. However maneuverability doesn’t do much good against AA. Only armor does.

Compounding the problem is that for nearly two years Japanese pilots were allowed to fly without parachutes and they usually did, feeling that most of the time they would be ejecting over enemy territory and could be, supreme shame, be taken prisoners. They had to be ordered to wear parachutes but that happened at sometime after the end of the Guadalcanal campaign.

End result: disproportionately high losses in pilots even at the time Japan had better planes and pilots than America.

Why don’t we start Islamic Apartheid Recognition Month?

    Why not?

  57. 57. Marina

    Dear Phyllis,

my comment is totally out of context, but with the upcoming PJM registration it’s probably the last time I can adress you, because my providers systematically block an access to your site. As you know, the EU govt has made a law requiring the EU countries to store all the e-mails and phone calls of their population (and yes, a simple birthday present sent from abroad is checked so carefully you may get it to your next birthday.) As long as the registration requires an e-mail communication (and I just don’t want any third persons to know my password etc.) I can’t afford to post a comment on PJM anymore.

So, first I want to thank you for your fight for the rights of women and FOR ISRAEL. Toda RABA. G-d bless you. I wish you to continue it as long as possible. SHOW THEM!!!!

Second, there’s one thing I’d like to turn your attention to. You treat the right to abort a baby as human right that makes a woman free. You understand o.c. that for the Christian majority in America the matter is extremely polarizing. Christians REALLY perceive “feti” and “embrios” as HUMAN BEINGS (and even for us the question should be open, with some passages from Isaia e.g.). And we have a clear conflict of rights here: the right of a woman to do with her body what she wants and the right of a human being to live.

But you know it o.c. And you know that the problem is impossible to solve in the present situation. I’d like to propose you the only ATTEMPT to solve it I could think of. Western civilisations have enormous scientific potential. Governments invest huge amount of money in embryo researches, cloning and stuff like that. Why wouldn’t we make a campaign and sponsor scientists that will find out how to REMOVE A BABY WITHOUT KILLING IT, no matter how old it is. And when it survives, give it to adoption to a good couple. A woman will be free and a baby will live.

O.c. in this case it’ll be clear who’s really for the rights of women and who’s just another “people are the problem” overpopulation-obsessed (deluded or evil) person. But who cares? I want women to be as free as possible. And I want babies to live and childless families to have a chance to have one. And my solution (I may not be original of course) will reconcile the majority anti-abortion activists and women right promoters.

I would like to know what you think about it. But this article is not a place for such a discussion. So I can only hope you’ll find the idea at least worth of attention and help to raise the discussion on a new level.

I wish you all the best.

  58. 58. Mcjack

On March 2, 2010 (smack-dab in the middle of the by-now infamous Israeli Apartheid week), California students will be helped to understand that the racist views that led to the 20th century internment of Japanese American citizens during Word War II is, come to think of it, happening all over again.

They can take a break and simply offer your work as the evidence.

  59. 59. Julia NYC

Yep. Let’s tip toe around Islam. Mustn’t make a failed misogynist culture upset. Mustn’t hurt their feelings. Mustn’t question their “human rights” records regarding women and gays. That might make them feel like Islam is being criticized. Oh the horror! The insensitivity! The lack of respect for “diversity.” Just keep your head in that academic sand folks. I guess bombing the Trade Center was a great P.R. move for Islam. Now everybody loves Islam. Especially the U.S. We even have a closet muslim President. Curious.

  60. 60. Marie-Luise

How disgusting! Muslims are buttering up Japanese-Americans just like they do the Jews in Europe.
