An email from Steven K:
Hello, Dave:
Ravel’s Piano transcriptions are brilliant. Ravel, of course, is a master orchestrator; so the piano works allow you to enjoy the melodic and harmonic movement of the music in a simplified form that is perfectly enjoyable. Because people know Ravel primarily as the composer of “Bolero,” I think he’s rather underrated.
I enjoy a collection of piano works found on Spotify (as well as my CD collection), so I’m agnostic as to which YouTube version is best, but here’s one that seems presentable.
Thank you for the posts!
