This Nicolas Cage Trolling Pic Is the Most Hilarious Thing Ever

He's just embracing his self-parody. Fantastic.

He’s wearing a t-shirt of himself, at a Guns ‘n’ Roses concert, via Instagram:

Mr Nicolas Cage and Mr Andrew Dice Clay

Defamer points out that his face is in the pose of the infamous online “troll” image:

#Troll #Face

I’m just going to pull this up every time I need to laugh out loud. He’s trolling the world.

Or is this just a paid publicity stunt and totally inauthentic? (But still entertaining…)

That is very clearly NOT the troll face, but rather the "Nicholas Cage 'You don't say?'" face.
Please be at least minimally aware of popular memes.

Cage has too expressions and this is the one that is not astonished with raised eyebrows.
See the Keanu Reaves oeuvre for the same two darn looks.
Wish I could make the world want to watch me in bad movies for millions without the ability to act.

Memes have nothing to do with it. I know little about Nicholas Cage and nothing about the meme you mentioned but I could see right away that they weren't the same image. This is about facial recognition via the Mark 1 eyeball. The author apparently saw what he wanted to see and imagined a much closer resemblance than actually exists.
