This week, the rehabilitation of the most extreme of the New Left groups — the Weather Underground — entered a new stage.

Yesterday, the New York Post revealed that convicted felon Kathy Boudin — who was released from jail a decade ago after serving 22 years for her role as getaway driver in a deadly 1981 Brinks truck robbery — was given the position of adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of Social Work.

At the same time, Boudin was also(!) given a position held concurrently at New York University, where she was appointed Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence. She recently gave a lecture for that program on “the politics of parole and re-entry,” something which she obviously knows about.

There are, of course, many other candidates who could have been given both positions, and none of them were part of a leftist terrorist group whose action resulted in the death of the first African-American police officer in that area, and two other police officers. Two of the three had families; children grew up without their fathers.

Nine children.

When she was pulled over, Boudin shouted to the officers whose guns were drawn: “Put the gun back.” They put their revolvers in their holsters.

At that point — as the officers went to inspect the back of the van she was driving — her cohorts came out with weapons blazing, killing the two policemen and one other who had joined in pursuit.

Boudin was never repentant.

As David Horowitz points out today at NRO:

[Boudin is a] murderess who betted the cold-blooded massacre of three law-enforcement officers, including the first African-American on the Nyack police force; a woman whose actions left nine children fatherless and who has shown no genuine remorse for that.

If I understand the argument correctly, Ayers and his comrades say that it was the GOVERNMENT that cause THEIR violence.

Ok.

Then, someone today who disagrees with the current government, their use of drones, their shredding of the Constitution...can say..."we can follow in Ayers footsteps, because these drones will have killed more people than we can".

Is that the argument?

As for Redford and the Hollywood long time mistress...revolution...whitewashing the murders and high crimes of Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Fidel, ...is a cottage industry.

And, as for "media", a sniveling toady to the leftists acting purely as their propaganda arm...it is nothing but puff pieces and coverups.

What's missing in today's America...is the rage against this treason.

“She never apologized for her politics or her associations and she always looked fabulous doing it."
I'm with Jada. All the best revolutionists are stylish ones!

Two of the men murdered in the 1981 robbery were Nyack policemen, Sergeant Ed O'Grady and Officer Waverly Brown. A third policeman, Detective Artie Keenan, was wounded but survived. The third murder victim was Peter Paige, a Brinks guard. His partner Joe Trombino was badly wounded and lost the use of his left arm, but eventually returned to work for Brinks. He was killed at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Having lived through the sixties and seen the madness up close, this is beyond disgusting. The same Hollywood cretins pay homage to these monsters like Huey Newton used to grace their cocktail parties. I hope beyond the mentally dwarfed urban elitists who voted for Obama that no one goes to see these repugnant agitprop lies of films.

The sad fact of the matter is that these people are revered in all the Studies Departments at Universities. Hollywood is just the mirror.

Time and new generations soften the historical perspective. Like Ron, I remember the fear and loathing the 'benign' revolutionaries engendered in some areas of the country. These revolutionary missionaries, misguided and unlearned, have taken their place among the scholarly misanthropes of our education system. They are old and, now, wish to fashion a new story for our unlettered masses to hear and believe. You know, like Davy Crockett staring down a bear or Pecos Bill taming the tornado, the Weathermen were against the evils of American society and for the everyman. Pshaw, I say, pshaw.

I follow the TV series 'The Americans,', not because it's great television, but because I want to be reminded of how vicious the beautiful-handsome-looking couple can be when they favor the destruction of something they don't understand. The Weathermen, like some other dissident groups, do not know history and thus were prone to repeat the very actions they despised, yet in a very risible manner. They were the first fruits of a degenerating higher educational system. And they are still with us.

Leftists have always been willing to put their time and supporters’ money where their ideology is, but why now? During the Bush years they fell all over themselves making anti-American propaganda. But with their kind of president in office what’s the great urgency for pouring it on now? Have they gotten word that Obama plans something big and they should help lay the groundwork for it?

Yeah well, I don't figure it's missing, just quietly underground...picking the time...timing and surprise is everything.

A politicized identity is always right, or wrong, virtually no matter what they really do.

That means actual notions of right and wrong based on law and principle become irrelevant.

That's why illegal aliens aren't illegal - not really. That's why MSNBC is stocked with pitch perfect analogues to David Duke. That's why not one single mainstream organization or artifact in America based on being white is a sure sign of white racism.

That's why America is the United States of The Onion. Even a completely cynical adult '60s version of Mad Magazine never would've seen a 6 yr. old boy sent to school as a girl. The Left not only mainstreams bigotry, it mainstreams forms of madness.

Who need a resume? Kill somebody, hold up a bank, but make sure you advertise your hatred of America and capitalism. Government controlling evrything make so much more sense, in a certain kind of twisted mind.
Academia has become just another decayed and debauched part of a rapidly declining culture. But this is especially nauseating.
