Anti-American Gangnam Style Star Also Rapped About Murdering US Soldiers and Their Families
via K-pop star PSY once advocated ‘slowly and painfully’ killing US soldiers | Twitchy.
The lyrics of the anti-US song performed live by PSY and several other popular Korean singers in 2004 (shortly after the US invaded Iraq) were first translated into English two months ago on CNN’s iReport:
싸이 rap :
이라크 포로를 고문해 댄 씨발양년놈들과
고문 하라고 시킨 개 씨발 양년놈들에
딸래미 애미 며느리 애비 코쟁이 모두 죽여
아주 천천히 죽여 고통스럽게 죽여
PSY Rap:
Kill those f***ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives
Kill those f***ing Yankees who ordered them to torture
Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers
Kill them all slowly and painfully
PSY’s anti-American views weren’t discussed when the K-Pop star appeared on Ellen.
Exit question: Will anyone in the mainstream media ask PSY if he still supports killing US soldiers and their family members?

Greetings:
Well, that certainly puts a damper on that bit of happy, now, doesn’t it.
On the other hand, though, I watch a fair amount of the Korean Broadcasting System’s KBS World programming and one of the things that has impressed me is that country’s acceptance of its military draft. Even when its media celebrities have to interrupt their careers at inopportune times, they “hwarang” up and do their duty.
Although PSY was NOT one of those celebrities to man up and do his military duty. He’s a draft dodger just like John Kerry and Bill Clinton.
Actually, he did serve.

Well, to be fair, South Korea’s draft works for a number of reasons.
1) Everyone gets hit for service. Deferments and exemptions are few and far between. Even guys who leave Korea to go to the USA have to serve if they come back and are between 18-26 years old. And guys who are children of Korean/US (or any other country) marriages are bound to serve if they come back.
2) Not everyone has to serve in the military. There are tons of kids who serve in other ways. For instance, the cops (KPs) who stood guard during mass protests were usually conscripts who were the same age as the protestors. Quite funny to watch that scene.
3) South Korea actually has a reason for the draft. Some guy up north wants to make trouble. Go figure.
Greetings, Ragnar:
I certainly don’t have your depth of knowledge of South Korea’s military draft, but it struck me as so totally different from what we might expect in this country. One of my current intellectual conceits is that there is something fundamentally wrong with a society that allows its menfolk to grow up thinking that they don’t have an individual responsibility to protect it. When in the aftermath of Osama bin Leaden finally meeting up personally and individually with our SEALs, what struck me was that after Pearl Harbor, young men headed to the recruiting office and after bin Leaden young men headed to the party.
they “hwarang” up and do their duty.
Fine, then we can come home.
Can’t he rap about killing himself?
So why exactly are we in Korea, again? The people hate us and love the North, Yet we spend billions of our money protecting them.

Psy, the South Korean rapper famous for ” Gangnam Style,” apologized today for a 2004 performance in which he said American soldiers should be killed “slowly and painfully.”
The apology comes two days before he is scheduled to perform at a holiday concert that will be attended by President Obama and his family. TNT, the organizer of the concert, told ABC News that Psy will perform on Sunday as planned.
Psy said today that he will “forever be sorry for any pain I have caused” by what he sang at a Seoul concert that took place during the Iraq war.
The concert was held on the heels of the decapitation of a Korean missionary by Islamic militants in Iraq, which fueled anti-U.S. military sentiment in South Korea. In 2002, an American military vehicle struck and killed two 13-year-old Korean girls. The soldiers involved in the incident were later acquitted of negligent homicide.
Here’s the apology Psy released through his publicist, in full:
“As a proud South Korean who was educated in the United States and lived there for a very significant part of my life, I understand the sacrifices American servicemen and women have made to protect freedom and democracy in my country and around the world.”
“The song in question – from eight years ago – was part of a deeply emotional reaction to the war in Iraq and the killing of two Korean schoolgirls that was part of the overall antiwar sentiment shared by others around the world at that time. While I’m grateful for the freedom to express one’s self I’ve learned there are limits to what language is appropriate and I’m deeply sorry for how these lyrics could be interpreted. I will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused anyone by those words.”
“I have been honored to perform in front of American soldiers in recent months – including an appearance on the Jay Leno show specifically for them – and I hope they and all Americans can accept my apology. While it’s important we express our opinions, I deeply regret the inflammatory and inappropriate language I used to do so. In my music I try to give people a release, a reason to smile. I have learned that though music, our universal language we can all come together as a culture of humanity and I hope that you will accept my apology.”
The Korean dirtbag can take his apology and shove it up his ass.
As for “our” president, he’s beneath contempt for even considering appearing at the same function as this degenerate foreign “entertainer”.
What he ought to be doing is ordering DHS to block the Korean’s entry into the United States, not that I expect El Jefe to personally care whether or not someone advocates murdering Americans, but still it’s part of his job.
Agreed.
Thank you for saying that.
