Leonardo DiCaprio As An Uber-90s Wolf of Wall Street
Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of the Jordan Belfort memoir THE WOLF OF WALL STREET began shooting this month in New York, which opened the doors for a hefty number of shots to be taken of the film’s star, Leonardo DiCaprio, rocking his dapper look as the titular “wolf” of the film. A number of script reviews for the film have surfaced of late, highlighting the many “Scorsese-friendly” sequences, including quick cut flashbacks and the mentor-student relationships that oftentimes find their way into his work. The script by Terrance Winter (Boardwalk of Empires) seems to be a snug fit for the famed auteur, featuring lines like, “Be aggressive. Be ferocious. Be telephone f***ing terrorists.”

Leonardo, Martin and Wolf – Got Oscar written all over them. I just know this is the one for the two, after so many years, after so many tries… I bet it’s the greatest Wall Street, New York City movie ever made!
I knew a ‘telephone terrorist’ that cold called American Doctors convincing them to buy ‘wine stocks’ pre-Dec 31 1999.
Toronto based, the idea was to simply get a credit card number. The pitch was, get your wine/champagne before it runs out.
it was a boiler room style operation
Oh dang. And here I was hoping that after all the acclaim for the lovely “Hugo,” Martin Scorsese would embark upon a triumphant second career as an auteur of magical family films. Well, we still have “Hugo.”
That shot must be from a different movie, I don’t see any hookers or blow.
“The Wolf of Wall Street” is a very good book. “Highly” recommended. He likes to do Quaalude, try to fly a helicopter, and drool a lot. And once he rips apart his $3000 carpet to look for the coke his friend just ripped off. Should be great!
Make that a $3000 sofa, not carpet.
