The Dream Chaser's first baby steps.
Today, we feature Dream Chaser, a private space plane being built by SpaceDev, a division of Sierra Nevada Corporation just a mile or two from my house. They made the first tethered flight tests out of Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (locals will know it as Jefferson County Airport) on May 29th.

12 years ago, I and my family went to a space convention in Houston when it was open to the public. It was the best happy accidental tourist days ever! I remember a booth where they discussed a project like this. I wonder if it was the same people.
Even if “the government” has given up on space exploration and travel, it’s great to see American’s who have not and are doing something about it! My best to them all.
