Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after 5 years of marriage, People reports.
The action star and “Dawson’s Creek” actress married in 2006 at an Italian castle, after making waves with their whirlwind courtship and Cruise’s infamous couch-jumping on “Oprah.” Many media outlets speculated about the legitimacy of their relationship, as well as Cruise’s Scientology views.
Cruise’s magic did not work for Katie. It is well known in Hollywood that Crusie’s marriages include a prenup for producing a baby, and a quo prid quo about making the wife a star in exchange for marriage to someone who is, as the phrase goes, “not that there’s anything wrong with that…” of dubious inclination toward the female sex.
Katie, your wings have not been clipped.

So does this mean that — as soon as he dumps Kelly Preston — John Travolta and Tom Cruise can come out of the closet and marry each other?
