Pack 'em, Danno

One of the things I adore about cruising is that you pack once, unpack once and then the nice cruise line delivers a new destination to you each morning.  You don’t have to spend time each night and morning, packing and unpacking.

But for those occasions when you have a trip within a trip, or one more formal event in the middle of a vacation, here’s a handy, inexpensive way to save time and aggravation: the Pack-It Folder by Eagle Creek.  With this handy dandy little folder, and the easy instructions on the hard plastic packing form, you can keep your nice things safely isolated.

Plastic packing form - pack things around this form for uniform size.

Once uniformly folded, you wrap your clothes tightly in the folder.

Last week we visited Ed’s mother in New Jersey and escaped up to New York for a fancy night out.  I packed his good dress shirt and my slacks, top and jacket in the Pack-It folder and never unpacked them in Jersey.  Then I tossed the whole folder into a small overnight bag and off we went.

There’s a smaller sized folder that can easily hold a man’s shirt, trousers and a tie, be tossed into a laptop bag,  and still have your clothes clean and neat when you arrive — even a few days later — and even after taking your laptop out, and putting it away, and taking it out, and… well you get the point.

It fits easily even in an "under the seat" laptop bag

Of course if you want to go crazy you can pack ALL of your things in the various size Folders that Eagle Creek has, but even I’m not that obsessive. Although I can be pretty bad (or good) about packing, so if the subject interests you at all, do look for upcoming packing tips.
