Michael Goldfarb writes:
Alec Baldwin attacked Jack Cafferty today with a level of invective he usually reserves for his own daughter, hitting the CNN anchor for “being convicted of leaving the scene of an accident in which you struck a cyclist and then ran two red lights while you were pursued by the police.” I was unaware of that until Baldwin posted his diatribe. [Details here apparently confirm Baldwin -- Ed] Of course, CNN anchor Rick Sanchez, with whom I shared a memorable moment during the campaign, also fled the scene of an accident after hitting a man (who subsequently died from his injuries). Sanchez was driving under the influence at the time.
CNN’s daytime lineup (no pun intended) has always been hit or miss…
Fortunately, when Goldfarb refers to Baldwin “hitting the CNN anchor”, he doesn’t mean it literally.
