I’m not sure if this falls into the category of “don’t know much about history”, or worse, the deliberate misrepresentation of it, but President Obama was recently quoted as saying:
President Roosevelt didn’t have the luxury of choosing between ending a depression and fighting a war. President Kennedy didn’t have the luxury of choosing between civil rights and sending us to the moon.
Jonah Goldberg makes short work of Obama’s specious remark.
Incidentally, speaking of going to the moon, (and since I’ve been meaning to link to this, but couldn’t otherwise find a place for it), here’s some change you can believe in.

“…or worse, the deliberate misrepresentation of it”
Nope, that’s not the problem. Barack Obama sincerely believes what he is saying. Perhaps even the majority of Harvard’s graduates are similarly as shallow as our new president. The man was likely networking during his school years instead of reading and studying.
There is a 50/50 chance that Barack Obama will resign from the presidency before the end of the year. He will say that he is doing so due to medical reasons. This man never wanted to actually perform the duties of the elected leader of the United States. Obama literally prefers to flap his jaws. He is not even close to being ready for prime time. I also don’t think he originally expected to win the Democratic Party’s top nomination. Obama was probably stunned to find out that so many guilt tripped whites were willing to put him into the White House.
