Using Helen’s Page to Kick Start the Ideas of Liberty

“Then I did something I had never done before. I typed up a post, took a deep breath, and pressed “Post It!”
What happened next was nothing short of amazing.
Within moments, connections began to form. Members left comments. People pledged their support. Many also sent emails with encouragement, ideas, partnership opportunities….We aren’t isolated when we have a community like Helen’s Page.

As a parent I know all too well the frustration of trying to battle the indoctrination, although I am happy to report it’s possible. A series of books targeting kids during their early years is a wonderful idea. Best wishes with the project!
At 52 I am so delighted I don’t have kids. I have an old friend from college who teaches 6th grade in northern Vermont (ultra-blue state), and he says it’s just shameless what’s going on. They don’t even pretend to call it education anymore. The teacher’s lounge is constantly buzzing with two topics: why can’t we just ditch the 2nd Amendment, and who says Obama can’t remain in office for three or four terms?
The left infested Hollywood, print and elec media and the education system. They were smarter than the right to have done so. You can do anything you like to raise your kids, but as soon as they pick up anything in print, electronic, TV, see a movie or go to school, they are in the hands of the left.
I can only hope homeschooling takes off like an F-16. There is no saving our abysmal ed system. Books like these will help.
My high schoolers have been in public schools in a blue state their entire lives, and I prevented their indoctrination with the help of people like Glenn Beck. They spend their time at school debating students and teachers alike on a wide range of issues. They both shoot so the second amendment is front and center.
I’m glad kids like them will be contributing to society. It gives me hope that all is not lost.
