Why Does Obama Idolize Turkey’s Racist Prime Minister?

July 9th, 2013 - 1:17 pm

Revolutionary Islamism is an innately anti-American and racist doctrine. Usually this manifests as anti-Semitic or anti-Christian views (since in the case of Islam, religion now seems to have been reintepreted as race when convenient), yet sometimes it arises in different but not highly publicized examples — such as with the racism employed against Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Palestinian and other Arabic newspaper cartons.

President Barack Obama has endlessly flattered the radical Turkish leader Recep Erdogan, ignoring his insults and his subversion of U.S. interests. Obama presents Erdogan as his ideal Middle East leader, a “moderate Islamist,” and Obama has turned over U.S. Syria policy to Turkish regime direction.

This is despite the fact that the increasingly repressive Erdogan has publicly blamed the opposition to him on … a Jewish plot. Perhaps with the U.S. government supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, anti-Semitism is no longer a detriment to Obama administration backing.

But what does Erdogan really think of Obama?

Despite Obama’s pro-Islamist policy, Erdogan now is blaming him for the fall of Egypt’s government. As is customary, every Tuesday Erdogan addresses his AKP party group in the parliament. As usual, part of his speech was devoted to ridiculing Kemal Kilicdaroglu, leader of the opposition, secular-oriented Republican People’s Party (CHP). But this time, he ended that part of his speech with these words:

Kilicdaroglu is striving every bit he can to raise himself from the level of a black person (zenci in Turkish, which is the same as “negro”) to the level of a white man.

Might that be offensive? Might that be reported in the American mass media? Incidentally, Kilicdaroglu is a Kurd. In a politically correct country, this statement would raise questions of whether Erdogan is a racial supremacist.

I've seen this analysis before and while it is true that he is a leftist and HE doesn't want to pray towards Mecca 5 times a day that is not the real issue. Leftists are never concerned about making rules for themselves; they only want to make rules for the rest of us.

While Obama himself would never think of praying 5 times a day in any direction (who would he pray to?), he is perfectly happy to have you and me be forced to pray 5 times a day to Mecca.

You know, things like not supporting freedom of religion in Egypt by his support of the Muslim Brothers, not supporting the Greens in Iran, not supporting the democracy in Honduras and supporting the dictator, Zelaya, not condemning the deaths of Christians in Muslim lands, bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia, Benghazi, IRS scandal, Fast & Furious, not enforcing laws he doesn't like ...
being an Imperial President.

Barry, you miss the point. Obama is a Muslim and he supports Islam at every turn. This is who Obama is and now Obama has a Director running the CIA who is also a convert to Islam. From now on there will be no policy that pushes back against Islam anywhere in our government. So now we are Pro Communist and Pro Islam, how do we square this circle in our Constitutional Republic of Freedom and Equality of Creation? We cannot, for Islam is an Ideology of Hate and Domination, they hate all who are not Islam and They must Dominate all Society and Convert them to Islam or Kill them at the first opportunity.....
Yes, whether you like it or not, this is Obama and Erdogan, this the coming Islam problem for the entire world.

I disagree. Obama is a leftist. Leftism in the West is a religion and it also happens to be the religion Obama believes in. Everything else, including his race, takes a back seat to leftism. Leftism and Islamism are allies in the war against Western liberalism, so, where Obama's race, or putative Christian (or Islamic) beliefs contradict leftism, leftism trumps. Any sympathy towards or attraction to Islam that Obama may (or may not have) is certainly more likely to related to Islam's remarkable affinities with leftism than any desire by Obama to live in accordance with Sharia or pray towards Mecca 5 times a day, etc.

The question proposed in the title of this article is not answered. We learn of double-dealing, etc. behavior of Erdogan. But why does Obama (and much of the West) idolize the man? The answer to that question is not given.

In Turkey, the term negro has nothing do with racism :)))

"""White Turks and Black Turks """ Wikipedia

The Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan described himself as a Black Turk before 2001 election victory..Now he is a white turk

Also there is a third group of "Grey Turks", who are urbanized, well-educated and enjoy western music and films, but are pious Muslims.

metin, you need to read the Quran and Shariah for you certainly do not understand the ideology of Islam. Those who live and enjoy as you note are certainly not Pious Muslims and once Islam is enforced in Turkey according to the Quran and Shariah, these supposedly Pious Muslims will be NO MORE..... These people you refer to are Muslims of Attaturk times.....

Sorry Metin, your comments do not erase the history of Erdogan's racist comments. He has proven himself a radical Islamist first and foremost, and betrays Turkey's founding as a secular state. The EU was correct in wanting to delay Turkey's admittance due to it's burgeoning radicalism and indifference/lip service of Erdogan's party to minority rights.

First of all, Kılıçdaroğlu is not a Kurd..He is a Alevi from Tunceli..He said that he's proud of his Turkoman roots(Horasan Aşireti)..Alevis predominantly display secular and liberal characteristics.
Second, In Turkey, 1990's the term Negro was widely used by conservative parties relating to secular state discrimination against Erdoğan's Party..after 2001 the AKP's victory this term has been used to refer to socialists or liberal, secular rationalist(CHP Kılıçdaroğlu's party, also Ataturk's party)

In turkish society, the term negro has nothing do with racism or insulting ethnic roots..It may be used to describe discrimination against poor, women, conservatives, atheist, homosexuel
From top to bottom , a manipulative article over xenephobia and islamophobia

Up to 25 percent of Kurds in Turkey are Alevi. The categories are not mutually exclusive.
