“All of you are white. Go to hell!”

That was Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price speaking to his constituents at a …boisterous… public meeting.

According to the story, one constituent, Jeff Turner, might well have been asking for it, repeatedly referring to Price as “the Chief Mulllah of Dallas County.” But that’s certainly no reason to treat everybody there contemptuously, just because of the color of their skin.

UPDATE: Yikes. Read down to Price’s expanded comments, after he’d had a chance to cool off, where he said the Turner is “a member of the Tea Party, known for their racial insensitivity.”
