Tom Clancy Drool Fest Returns Again

StrategyPage reports that two brigades of light infantry at Ft. Lewis, WA, are now receiving the first “Stryker” Interim Armored Vehicles.

Over the next six years, we’ll spend four billion dollars to equip our infantry with over 6,000 of the lightly armored wheeled infantry carriers. A waste of money? Perhaps — the vehicles are reportedly not much more effective than our existing fleet of M-113s, and more difficult to transport.
