I didn’t think this day would ever come, considering the bigoted Leftist philosophy that has conquered higher education. But a college has actually fired a professor for making racist anti-white comments. A minority female professor.
Such a status is probably why Professor Lisa Durden thought she could say whatever racist garbage she wished during an interview with Tucker Carlson. However, what passes as acceptable on campus was a massive embarrassment when on national television, so she is now out of a job.
Essex County College has fired a professor who publicly defended a Black Lives Matter Memorial Day event during an appearance on Fox News in early June.
During an interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Professor Lisa Durden endorsed the event, which was held exclusively for black people, telling the news host that white people were upset because they could use their “white privilege card” to attend.
“Boo hoo hoo. You white people are angry because you couldn’t use your white privilege card,” she told Carlson.

Essex County College President Anthony Munroe reiterated that the institution “supports and affirms the right of free speech,” but stressed that Durden’s remarks “required our immediate review into what seemed to have become a very contentious and divisive issue.”
“I fully believe that institutions of higher learning must provide a safe space for students to explore, discuss and debate, not only academic philosophies, but the harder issues related to living harmoniously and growing together in our communities and as a country,” Munroe said in a statement, as reported by AP.
“The character of this institution mandates that we embrace diversity, inclusion, and unity. Racism cannot be fought with more racism,” Munroe added.
The flat-out encouragement of racism directed towards whites over the last decade has, by definition, done nothing to eradicate racism. It’s actually fueled racism. Because it’s racism.
Essex County College has taken a major step away from that by holding Durden accountable for her comments. She didn’t get the typical “bigotry of soft expectations” pass for her race or sex. At least one college in this country seems to be embracing MLK’s “content of their character” guideline.
Seriously, it’s not rocket science. Don’t judge people by their DNA. If more colleges would again reinforce this remedial cultural standard, we’d have a lot less stupid coming out of campuses.
