Sometime during the night on Friday or the early hours of Saturday morning someone dumped a huge load of manure in front of the Warren County Democratic Party headquarters in Lebanon, Ohio.
Party chairwoman Bethe Goldenfield told the Cincinnati Enquirer that she received a call from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 7:45 a.m. Saturday letting her know about the large dump in front of the group’s headquarters.
This is the second time someone has left a pile of manure in front of the Democratic headquarters in Warren County, where no Republican has been elected to a countywide office since 1976. The last time the it happened was in 2012.
Goldenfield vented on the Greater Cincinnati Politics Facebook page:
2016 manure incident at Warren County Democratic Party HQ. What reasonable person thinks this is OK???? (This also happened in 2012.) #TheyGoLowWeGoHigh and are more than ever focused on #GOTV
We have cameras, and are currently reviewing the tape with the Sheriff’s Department, so hopefully the perps will be held accountable for their actions. I won’t be responding to anyone who thinks this is acceptable behavior. It is ILLEGAL!
Jeff Monroe, chairman of the Warren County Republican Party, told The Enquirer that his group had nothing to do with the manure “and has offered to help clean things up.”
In a Facebook post the Warren County Democratic Party blamed Trump supporters for the manure by using the hashtag #TrumpLovesHate. They wrote, “we have cameras and so the perps will hopefully be responsible for their actions.”
#TrumpLovesHate. #TheyGoLowWeGoHigh Let's GOTV to show the haters that we bigger than they are. Please come out and…

While some commenters thought the “prank” was hilarious, others were furious about it. Still others asked if they could come and get some manure for their gardens or donate it to needy farmers in the area. According to Goldenfield, the manure was hauled away on Saturday.
Several commenters noted the fact that Republican headquarters across the country have seen attacks in recent weeks, including the firebombing of an office in Hillsborough, North Carolina, earlier this month.
Doug Deeken, chairman of the Wayne County Republican Party, quipped on his Facebook page, “Before blaming right wingers I think we need to review the video footage to see if Hillary’s bus parked there recently.” Readers may remember that a HAZMAT crew had to be called in earlier this month after Clinton’s campaign bus was caught dumping human waste in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
