'Hamilton' Cast to Register Voters Outside Theater

The cast of hit musical “Hamilton: An American Musical” will be registering people to vote this week outside the Richard Rogers Theatre in Manhattan.

“I’m just like my country,” Hamilton says on stage. “I’m young, scrappy and hungry, and I am not throwing away my shot.”

The registration drive will feature national registration forms so tourists and vacationers from all 50 states  can register to vote in the 2016 presidential election.

The drive will take place outside the Rogers Theater at W. 46th St. on Wednesday and Saturday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Cast volunteers for the registration drive were trained by the Hispanic Federation, which the New York Daily News describes as “a community service organization.”

The chair of the Hispanic Federation Board of Directors is Ramon J. Pineda of the Univision Television Group. The board of directors include members from Verizon, Telemundo, Nielsen, and Comcast companies.
