Following the premiere of the film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, several emotional family members of two of the four Americans who died in the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi appeared on Fox News with Megyn Kelly.
Charles Woods and Jeremiah Woods (the father and brother of Tyrone Woods), and a visibly distraught Patricia Smith (the mother of Sean Smith), gave their impressions of the film. And Charles Woods brought with him evidence that runs contrary to Hillary’s claim that the family members are mistaken about what she told them on September 14, 2012.
Charles told Megyn that he wasn’t ready for what he saw on the screen.
“I’d read the book. I thought I was prepared. But when I actually saw my son’s life being taken from him, it was very emotional,” Charles said. “It was almost like I didn’t want to be there, but I’m glad I had the experience. It did add to the healing process, the closure … This is what actually happened.”
Jeremiah added it was unbelievably touching to see the strong bonds between the men who fought at Benghazi brought to the screen.
Mrs. Smith didn’t last very long before she had to leave the theater. “I left as soon as Sean appeared on the screen,” Pat said, her face red and her eyes glistening with tears. “I couldn’t handle it.”
She called Hillary Clinton a “liar” and angrily sputtered “bull-feathers!” when Kelly pointed out that Hillary had suggested the families were lying. Mrs. Smith noted that Clinton was only one of several Obama officials — including Obama himself — who told her that the attack was sparked by an anti-Muslim video.
“I know what she said, and not only did she say it, but Obama said the same thing to me and Panetta and Biden and Susan Rice,” Pat said. “I went up to all of them, begging them to tell me what happened, and they all said that it was the video — every one of them.”
Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has since claimed that he knew Benghazi was a “terrorist attack” from the beginning.
Charles brought the notes he had scribbled in a small notebook on September 14 after the “transfer of remains” ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base.
“I gave Hillary a hug and shook her hand,” Charles read from his notebook. “And she said, ‘We are going to have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible for the death of your son.'”
Jeremiah confirmed that his father told him the same story over the phone after his meeting with Clinton.
Jeremiah said that the false video narrative was “what we were going on” for over a month after the attack.
