I smoke cigars. I enjoy cigars. I enjoy good conversation and good cigars. So, why not share a passion I have, and see who else shares it.
This Friday, I am smoking the Alec Bradley VICE Box Press. Personally, I’m a huge fan of the box press cigar. The shape, for me, usually brings a fantastic draw. Alec Bradley makes some great smokes, but this is my first VICE, which is a monster of a smoke. It’s a 64 ring gauge, which is a large size. And, at 6″ in length, there is plenty of cigar to enjoy.
The draw is, as I stated, fantastic. One thing that is different is the amount of smoke this cigar produces. It’s everywhere, but its not overpowering. The taste is very smooth, with a nice creamy finish. Some refer to the fact that the VICE has hints of coffee and semi-sweet chocolate…..but I’ll stick with creamy, which is kind of surprising when you see the size of this smoke.
Also, it’s not for everyone. For me, I don’t enjoy anything under a 52 ring gauge, as I don’t enjoy how the cigar feels in my hand. Like a good pen when I write, the weight and balance of a cigar in my hand lends to the enjoyment of it.
So, if you smoke cigars, give the Alec Bradley VICE Box Press a try. If you are new to cigars, try an Alec Bradley Family Blend instead. Much smaller, much easier to handle. (And, in case you are asking, Alec Bradley is not a sponsor, and I am not being paid to write this.)
Now, if Stephen Green would only post The Friday Drink, we’d be all set.
