CBS turns on the cone of silence on ObamaCare cash

The Daily Caller reports a zinger: CBS and the Washington Post got big cash payouts from ObamaCare. CBS reportedly got $573,217 and the Post reportedly got a little more, $722,388. Both payouts came from a $5 billion fund tucked away in the massive ObamaCare law, called the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program, a fund controlled by the Obama administration.

Neither news organization disclosed the payments from the very controversial law or the ERRP, which Republicans call a “slush fund.” And in the case of CBS, it gets even more interesting.

Chris Salcedo, host of the America’s Radio News program, called up CBS to find out if the network would publicly confirm the payment. Salcedo tells the Tatler that CBS refused to comment. The “Tiffany Network,” home of the hard hitting and award winning 60 Minutes news magazine pioneer program, turned on the cone of silence.

Perhaps Mike Wallace needs to turn his hidden cameras and microphones on the suits at his own network to get some answers.
