Dupnik faces recall effort

Pima County’s absurdly political sheriff is facing a recall effort according to the Washington Times.  Pima ia a blue county so the recall faces a stiff headwind — but once upon a time, Gray Davis’ critics faced a stiff headwind but successfully recalled him.  Seems to me there is an obvious line of attack available to the recallers — that Dupnik’s comments may have harmed the prosecution of the Tucson shooter.  The county attorney didn’t gag him for nothing.
