As Arizona prepares for the memorial service over Saturday’s tragic shooting, there are some indications that the president will mainly speak about the loss and not touch on politics. This is a good thing. But this morning it seems Terry Goddard, Arizona’s former Democratic attorney general, hasn’t gotten the message. He continues to dial up the politicization. As Politico reports this morning he tore down the state in the same fashion that Democrats have done since the shooting, including the Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnif: “’Arizona really has got to be on its best behavior for a long time to come,’” said Democratic former state Attorney General Terry Goddard, who lost to Republican Gov. Jan Brewer in 2010.” So Goddard is continuing his lost election campaign fight right up to the memorial. This certainly ought to cool the waters.
