Rand Paul Says Obama Had Good Intentions on Healthcare

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is probably the strongest voice in the Senate for a full repeal of Obamacare. But he rejects the divisive nature of the Democrats’ criticism. Calling it “hyperbole,” he admonished them for claiming Republicans were trying to kill people or let people die. Paul said, “President Obama, I thought, was trying to do the best work for people. He really did try to get people health care. It didn’t work, but I don’t think he was trying to kill people. Likewise, Republicans, we’re trying to do the same. More health insurance for people on a cheaper price. But none of us is going to allow people to die in the streets.” Can we please stop proving “Godwin’s Law” during senatorial discussions? We may disagree, but we should realize that all sides have mostly good intentions.
