After pulling out of one debate that would have been aired nationally, the Democratic candidate in the Georgia special House race, John Ossoff, consented to a locally televised debate… and he got slammed. The seat was vacated when Tom Price became President Trump’s secretary of Health and Human Services. The Republican candidate, Karen Handel, pointed out that Ossoff couldn’t actually even vote in their election because he doesn’t live in the district. She painted a rhetorical picture of this being representative of his outside-Georgia values. Ossoff has received a lot of support from liberal leaders throughout the country. Handel said, “The real John Ossoff is a Nancy Pelosi-backed liberal.” This quip is sure to strike a chord with Georgia voters.
