Secretary of Homeland Security Kelly got a round of applause during a George Washington University speech for calling out congressmen who berate law enforcement officers and officials. He said, “If lawmakers do not like the laws that we enforce, that we are charged to enforce, that we are sworn to enforce, then they should have the courage and the skill to change those laws. Otherwise they should shut up and support the men and women on the front lines.” This echoes one of the sticking points that President Trump kept arguing in his debates with Hillary Clinton. She was in government for so long, so why didn’t she create the changes which she was espousing? It’s pretty refreshing to hear politicians speak with such blunt honesty!
