Details are just emerging from the horrific church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, where as many as 26 worshipers were killed by a gunman and 20 more injured earlier today.
The shooting at First Baptist Church that took place today is the deadliest mass killing at a house of worship in modern U.S. history

Predictably, the same politicians, media personalities, actors, commentators and social media celebrities who after the terror attack in New York City just a few days ago warned about politicizing the tragedy are now rallying to politicize today’s incident.

The "don't politicize a tragedy, Muslim backlash" crowd can't wait to tweet their NRA gun control mania.

The go-to whipping boy after tragic events like this is, of course, the NRA:
The @NRA is soaked and bathed in blood. How do its adherents sleep at night?
— Joy Reid (@JoyAnnReid) November 5, 2017
“Not all Muslims,” but “it’s every NRA member.”
I’ll just keep saying it: The NRA is a terrorist organization.

Democrat Congressman Ted Lieu started off well…
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families affected by the mass shooting in Sutherland Springs.
— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) November 5, 2017
But he couldn’t let the opportunity pass:
I agree my prior tweet could be better. So here: I pray for the victims in TX. Also, screw the @NRA & can you help Dems take back the House.
— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) November 5, 2017
Then we had the attacks on “thoughts and prayers”:
The murdered victims were in a church. If prayers did anything, they'd still be alive, you worthless sack of shit. https://t.co/iGHxPrYrLN
— Wil 'this account mocks fascists' Wheaton (@wilw) November 5, 2017
Your fucking prayers didn’t prevent this and they won’t prevent the next one, you cowardly piece of shit. https://t.co/7maKeufPPI

How can professional comedians be so unfunny?
Innocent people go to church on Sunday to honor their God, and while doing so, get shot in killed. What country? America. Why? Republicans.
— Chelsea Handler (@chelseahandler) November 5, 2017
And the mindless attacks on the victims:

No shooting tragedy can pass without the attacks on the gun industry and calls for more government regulation.
NEW: @ChrisMurphyCT on Texas shooting: Lawmakers "need to think about whether the political support of the gun industry is worth the blood." pic.twitter.com/tNd4TCXvLM

I’m sick & tired of “thoughts and prayers” for mass shooting victims. What we need: legislation & regulation. Start with assault-weapon ban.

If you’re heartbroken & furious & feeling helpless about Sutherland Springs, but not yet a supporter of @MomsDemand Action … pic.twitter.com/VLOOAWeFXH

Perhaps the worst is the obligatory race baiting:
Don't worry everybody.
It was a white man who slaughtered half of the church in Texas.
That means everything is just fine.
No terrorism
— Shaun King (@shaunking) November 5, 2017
Federal officials say while the gunman's motive is unclear, there's no obvious sign of a connection to terrorism… you know what that means
— Ayman Mohyeldin (@AymanM) November 5, 2017
Of course, motive is at the very heart of federal charges of terrorism.
The definition of terrorism has nothing to do with skin color. Click this link and scroll to definitions: https://t.co/Z4ZEdd9Iuj

CNN has already covered itself in glory by having one of its guests push out a well-known 4Chan hoax:
Rep. Vicente González just repeated the well-known 4chan hoax that the shooter's name was Sam Hyde. That name is circulated EVERY shooting pic.twitter.com/Aa6juBf8oM

Again, the same crowd who complained about politicizing tragedies just a few days ago had no problem immediately politicizing this tragedy.
