Two Washington D.C. Metro police officers and a city worker were struck by a hit-and-run driver last night in the Adams Morgan neighborhood. One officer was originally listed as critical, but has just been upgraded to serious.

Two suspects are in custody, and a weapon was found in the vehicle. FBI agents were on the scene, and authorities have said that terrorism has not been ruled out.

According to witnesses, the white pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when the two police officers pulled out from behind a bus on their bikes and were struck.

Two suspects were removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest.

A weapon was reportedly recovered from the vehicle.

One of the suspects was transported by ambulance to the hospital, though its not clear whether it was the driver or the passenger.

Officials found no information that indicated terrorism as a motive in a hit-and-run in Washington, D.C. Thursday night that injured two officers and a transportation worker, police said Friday.
“Right now we do not have any information to suggest this was a terrorist-related event,” D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said in a news conference Friday. Newsham initially said they were looking “very closely” at terrorism as a possible motive.
