The Morning Briefing: Lindsey Graham Working to Declassify FISA Docs

Lindsey Graham wants to declassify RUSSIA-collusion documents

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S. Carolina) appeared on Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday show and said he is trying to declassify documents related to the use of the Steele dossier to obtain a FISA warrant on Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page.

“There’s a document that’s classified that I’m gonna try to get unclassified that takes the dossier — all the pages of it — and it has verification to one side,” Graham told Bartiromo. “There really is no verification, other than media reports that were generated by reporters that received the dossier.”

“So, the bottom line is the dossier has never been independently confirmed. It was used to get a warrant. They knew the author of the dossier was on the Democrat Party payroll. He hated Trump; they got the warrant anyway. Most Americans should be very upset about that. I’m very upset about it. And we’re going to get to the bottom of it.”

The FBI presented a Yahoo News article as “proof” of the salacious, unverified dossier to the FISA court but knew the article had been sourced by Christopher Steele, the dossier’s author. Steele was fired from the FBI for leaking to the media but continued to inform the agency through back channels.

Graham also referenced one of the latest bombshells to drop: that Steele met with a State Department official and told her he wanted the “information” in the dossier to leak out before the election, further indicating that the document was political propaganda and not actual intelligence.

“But for the dossier, there would be no warrant against Carter Page,” Graham said. “The meeting on Oct. 11 was 10 days before the FISA warrant application. So the FBI was on notice that their confidential informant went to the Department of State to urge the Department of State to take the dossier and leak it to the public to affect the election. That’s about as sick as it gets.”

FBI finds terror-training camp in Alabama

Similar to the one in New Mexico, authorities have found a ramshackle terrorist-training compound in Alabama.

But this plot of land in Macon County, Alabama is described in an FBI search warrant as a “makeshift military-style obstacle course” belonging to a small group of terrorists led by Siraj Wahhaj who owned the property up a long dirt road but just a few miles from downtown Tuskegee.

The property is owned by Siraj Wahhaj, according to Sinclair Broadcast Group. Wahhaj was also associated with the compound in New Mexico.

“Just because you’re in a small town or a small state does not mean you might not potentially have individuals engaged in the types of activities that would call into question threats to national security,” says Tim Fuhrman, Former Special Agent with the FBI field office in Mobile, Alabama.

Scary stuff.

Man indicted for threatening to kill Trump

When will the media and the Democrats ratchet down their anti-Trump rhetoric?

Connecticut man Gary Joseph Gravelle, aka Roland Prejean, was indicted Friday for allegedly threatening to hurt people and blow up property, according to the Department of Justice. One of those people was allegedly President Donald Trump.

The defendant mailed, emailed, and called people to communicate his threats, prosecutors said. A number of his letters allegedly contained a white powdery substance with statements claiming these was Anthrax. Besides Trump, threatened targets include mental health providers, federal probation officers, a federal judge, an airport, a federal prison in Washington, and a credit union in Bistol, Connecticut.

We aren’t hearing too much of this story in the news. I wonder why? No lectures and finger-wagging and calls for moderation.
