Feds arrested Muslim convert who planned terror attacks

A military veteran who converted to Islam was planning to carry out a bomb attack on a Nazi rally as payback for the New Zealand mosque attacks before federal authorities arrested him.

Mark Domingo, an infantryman who served a combat stint in Afghanistan, was arrested Friday after visiting a park in Long Beach where authorities said he planned to plant home-made explosive devices made with nail-filled pressure cookers in advance of a Nazi rally scheduled Sunday.

“This is a case in which law enforcement was able to identify a man consumed with hate and bent on mass murder, and stop him before he could carry out his attack,” U.S. Attorney Nick Hanna said. “The criminal case outlines a chilling terrorism plot that developed over the past two months and targeted innocent Americans that he expected to gather this past weekend.”

The suspect is a real gem. His plan was to weaken America “by giving them a taste of the terror they gladly spread all over the world.”

Domingo said he had an assault rifle, semi-automatic rifle and several magazines of ammunition. He discussed picking off Jews walking to synagogue, shooting police officers or attacking a church or military base, according to investigators.

When the source asked him how he planned to carry out violence without getting caught, court records said Domingo replied: “Martyrdom, bro.”

Where did he get all these weapons? Not in California, certainly.

The scheduled Nazi rally did not take place last weekend and instead, a bunch of counter-protestors showed up to rally for peace or something.

Rosenstein out

Rod Rosenstein, the ubiquitous deputy attorney general, has submitted his resignation. Rosenstein previously announced he wanted to leave so his announcement is not surprising, but after AG Barr was confirmed and showed up to the DoJ for work, I suspect he told Rosenstein to stick around to deal with the mess he made.

The resignation is effective May 11. Rosenstein was expected to depart the Justice Department in mid-March, shortly after the confirmation of Attorney General William Barr. But he delayed his resignation until the end of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, which Rosenstein oversaw for 22 months. Rosenstein assumed oversight of the investigation after then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself because of the prominent role he played in Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

We haven’t seen the last of this guy yet, not by a long shot. I wonder why none of the congressional committees are calling Rosenstein to testify about the Mueller report?

The New York Times can’t control its antisemitism

The cartoonist who drew a disgusting anti-Semitic cartoon for the liberal rag the Times, has come forward to explain that his trash wasn’t about “Joos” it was about the government of Israel. They always say that, do you notice? In the case of lefty-darling and anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), she says she is only talking about the Israeli government but actually only talks about American Jews and their ~~gold~~ money.

The cartoon in question, which appeared in Thursday’s New York Times international paper, featured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a dog with a Star of David collar leading a blind Trump, who is wearing a yarmulke. There was no caption or text alongside the caricature.

“It is a critique of Israeli policy, which has a criminal conduct in Palestine, at the expense of the UN, and not the Jews,” said António Moreira Antunes, who goes by António, in an interview with Expresso, a Portuguese paper where he works.

The Times apologized for its disgusting cartoon that had to go through an editorial process to see the light of day and then promptly published another trashy, cartoon.

The new image depicts Netanyahu dressed as Moses standing on the side of a mountain while holding a stone tablet with the Star of David engraved on it and taking a photo of himself using a selfie stick.

While the meaning of the image is open to interpretation, the central message seems to suggest that the leader of Israel’s faith in Judaism is not sincere. Stripped of any interpretation, the image debases Judaism’s prophet and image.

What is the point of this? How is this about Israeli policies and not making fun of the Jewish faith? I’m sure I am not the only Jew getting the message loud and clear.

NRA under fire

New York state has targeted the NRA as part of a larger plot by the left to have their elected state officials cripple the gun rights organization with subpoenas and “investigations.” New York’s Governor Cuomo hit back after President Trump tweeted about NY’s harassment of the NRA.

“The NRA is under siege by Cuomo and the New York State A.G., who are illegally using the State’s legal apparatus to take down and destroy this very important organization, & others,” Trump tweeted. “It must get its act together quickly, stop the internal fighting,” Trump said of the NRA.

New York State is going after the NRA over one of their programs, an insurance policy it offers its members. New York is using its regulatory heft to put the group through the wringer. After Trump’s tweet, Cuomo and State Attorney Letitia James fired back.

“You have done nothing but tweet about it,” Cuomo said. “Unlike you, President Trump, New York is not afraid to stand up to the NRA.”

“In any case we pursue, we will follow the facts wherever they may lead. We wish the President would share our respect for the law,” James said on Monday.

The Second Amendment is the law.
