They Lied About Biden’s Mental Fitness and Must Be Prosecuted

Everyone knew Joe Biden was cognitively impaired during his presidency. Yet the legacy media worked overtime to prop up the White House narrative that Ol’ Joe was sharp, vigorous, and “fit for duty.” Anyone paying attention could see that wasn’t true, but his aides kept insisting he was “a beast” who ran circles around his staff. We know it was a lie, not spin, and those who helped sell it must be held accountable.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s bombshell report released Tuesday confirmed what most Americans had already figured out: Biden’s top officials knowingly misled the public about his mental decline.

As part of the investigation into how the Biden White House actually operated, the committee interviewed 14 of his aides—and what they revealed could go down as one of the biggest presidential scandals in history. An analysis of their public statements compared to their closed-door testimony is extremely telling. Publicly, these aides waved off Biden’s gaffes, confusion, and forgetfulness as “offensive” or “irrelevant.” But behind closed doors, they told a very different story—describing internal concern about his cognitive state and exhaustion. Some even refused to answer questions about his health, invoking their Fifth Amendment rights. That speaks volumes about just how deep the deceit ran.

Take Kevin O'Connor, Joe Biden’s White House physician. In a February 28, 2024, medical memo, O'Connor declared Biden "a healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency." Fast forward to his House testimony, and O'Connor repeatedly took the Fifth when asked about Biden's physical health, fitness to be president, and whether anyone ever directed him to lie. Republicans have now recommended the District of Columbia Medical Board investigate O'Connor for potential wrongdoing and whether he produced false or misleading medical reports. The man tasked with certifying the president's health apparently needed the constitutional protection against self-incrimination. Draw your own conclusions.

Jeff Zients, Biden's chief of staff, described Biden in early 2024 as a "very energized president" and told Axios in August 2024 that Biden would "finish the job as strong as we started it and continue to make history." Yet during his September House testimony, Zients admitted discussing with other officials how to "reduce the number of steps" Biden would take to prevent him from stumbling or falling in public. He also testified that Biden's ability to remember names, including Zients's own name, had "probably gotten more difficult" during the presidency. So much for energized.

Anita Dunn, senior adviser of communications, defended Biden on MSNBC after the debate disaster, claiming that "it wasn't his greatest debate" but that Biden "has been a great president." Behind the scenes, Dunn participated in discussions with senior officials about whether Biden should undergo a cognitive exam as part of his annual physical. She framed these discussions as a public relations strategy to quell concerns about Biden's age and frailty, but they ultimately decided against it. Dunn also testified, "I thought his voice was softer and that his childhood stutter reappeared."

That's one way to spin it.

Then there's Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary who scoffed at questions about Biden's health during White House briefings. She dismissed inquiries as "offensive" and when one interviewer asked if Biden had dementia, she said "I can't even believe you are asking me this question" and abruptly ended the interview. Jean-Pierre blasted Special Counsel Robert Hur's report on Biden's handling of classified materials, which noted Biden forgot key details of his life, such as the year his oldest son Beau died. She even dismissed videos clearly showing Biden freezing up during speeches or appearing lost on stage as “cheap fakes.” When House investigators pressed her, Jean-Pierre was non-responsive, referring them to O'Connor's memo. She later admitted the "cheap fakes" line was a "prepared" talking point, though she couldn't remember who crafted it.

Biden aides publicly defended his mental sharpness despite knowing otherwise. Ian Sams and Andrew Bates downplayed Hur’s report while admitting they barely interacted with Biden. Ron Klain praised Biden’s vigor on TV but privately panicked during his debate meltdown. Mike Donilon dismissed concerns about Biden’s decline even as he quietly reduced the president’s workload—and stood to earn $4 million if Biden won reelection.

What happened here wasn’t spin—it was the biggest presidential scandal in American history, and everyone involved knew exactly what they were doing. This was a coordinated operation inside the West Wing to hide the obvious truth that Joe Biden was in decline. His aides, doctors, and advisers weren’t protecting the country—they were protecting their own power. They lied through their teeth, gaslighting the American people while the so-called “leader of the free world” could barely make it through a sentence. That’s not loyalty; that’s corruption wrapped in cowardice. Every single one of them deserves to be hauled in and held accountable, because if covering up a president’s incapacity isn’t criminal—then what is?
