The White House has released the transcript of a call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that occurred on July 25 of this year. While Joe Biden was mentioned, Trump’s claim that there was “No pressure and, unlike Joe Biden and his son, NO quid pro quo” appears to be true.
As Amber Athey, White House Correspondent for the Daily Caller, noted, “Basically, there isn’t anything in the call that Trump, Giuliani etc. hasn’t already admitted to publicly.” The call began with Trump complaining about the lack of support from European countries for Ukraine, just as Trump said was the case.
Trump then pressed Zelensky to look into foreign interference in the 2016 election. Funny, isn’t that what Democrats have been obsessed over for three years?

Sean Davis of The Federalist noted the transcript “shows that Trump mentioned Biden and his son only once, and that there was zero discussion whatsoever of connecting financial aid to an investigation of Hunter Biden’s controversial Ukrainian energy business or the prosecutor who was fired while investigating it.”
Nancy Pelosi, who announced the impeachment investigation on Tuesday, has yet to make a public comment about the transcript. Here’s her first tweet following the release of the transcript:

I guess they’re still trying to figure out how to spin this as a negative for Trump.
Senator Lindsay Graham, however, tweeted, “Wow. Impeachment over this?”

Liberals on social media are trying to make a stink about the following portion of the transcript, where Zelenksy thanks Trump for defense support, after which Trump says, “I would like you to do us a favor though.”
What those bringing this up don’t mention is that what Trump is referring to is 2016 election interference. Something Democrats have been pressing Trump to address.
The left seems intent on undermining the value of the transcript, saying it is not a transcript at all, ignoring the fact that the call was recorded by notetakers in the White House Situation Room who recorded excatly what was said:
