The Morning Briefing: Welcome to Subpoena City and Much, Much More

Good Wednesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

Here come da’ subpoenas

The Democrats plan to subpoena the DOJ for the complete Mueller report and materials. The Dems are still reeling from the Mueller report’s findings that Trump and his campaign did not collude, coordinate or conspire with RUSSIA during the 2016 campaign. They have fabricated all sorts of fantasies surrounding AG Barr’s four-page letter that suggest Barr just made up the report findings. Does it make sense that Barr would misrepresent the report and Mueller and his team would stay silent? How silly. Barr also wrote in his letter, which he released so that the public wouldn’t have to wait to see the report, that he would release as much of the report as possible, estimating a release date in the middle of April. Barr is legally prevented from releasing certain information in the report, but the Democrats only care about the law when it helps them and not when it isn’t furthering their narrative. I’m sure Barr will ignore the subpoena.

So what exactly could happen? If Barr does ignore the subpoena, the House could hold him in contempt of Congress. Hold on a minute, I’m laughing.

Comey fears an investigation

Social media personality James Comey told “journalist” Christiane Amanpour that he “fears” an investigation of the deep state coup, massive abuse of power and greatest political scandal in the history of America that took place on his watch.

“I don’t fear it personally. I fear it as a citizen,” he said. “Right? Investigate what? Investigate that investigations were conducted? What would be the crime you’d be investigating? So it’s a terrible cycle to start.”

What would be the crime you’d be investigating? HA! That’s a hoot. What was the crime YOU were investigating, TwitterJim? You bet your ass he fears it personally.

President Trump is also curious about the coup launched against him.

“I hope they now go and take a look at the origins of the investigation, the beginnings of the investigation,” the president told reporters on Tuesday. “You look at the origin of the investigation, where it started, how it started, who started it.”

“Whether it‘s [former FBI Deputy Director Andrew] McCabe or Comey or a lot of them, where does it go? How high up in the White House did it go?“ Trump continued.

Uncle Joe keeps taking the hits

Two more ladies have come forward to say they were touched in an uncomfortable way by former veep, Handsy Uncle Joe Biden.

A Tuesday New York Times report cites sexual assault survivor Caitlyn Caruso, who said she was a 19-year-old college student when Biden placed his hand on her thigh and hugged her “just a little bit too long” at a University of Nevada, Las Vegas event on the topic of sexual assault. Caruso told the Times she never mentioned the incident publicly and at the time simply attributed it to the behavior of men.

“It doesn’t even really cross your mind that such a person would dare perpetuate harm like that,” Caruso, 22, told the Times. “These are supposed to be people you can trust.”

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Well, not really.

Another woman, 59-year-old D.J. Hill, met Biden at a 2012 Minneapolis fundraising event. When she and her husband posed for a photograph, the then-vice president “put his hand on her shoulder and then started dropping it down her back, which made her ‘very uncomfortable,’” the Times reported. “Her husband, seeing the movement, put his hand on Mr. Biden’s shoulder and interrupted with a joke.”

The sudden concern is so disingenuous. Where was all this concern when Biden was VP? He was arguably the second most powerful person in the U.S. government, but these people and their supporting actors didn’t say a peep. But now, when Biden is out of power and possibly running for office again, threatening the other kooks, it’s a week-long story. When Biden was in power, the touching was A-OK.

I don’t take this outrage seriously because it only surfaced when it was politically convenient. Wake me up when someone comes forward talking about Joe’s high school roofie/rape rooms.
