Trump, Pence meet with NRA

Last night, the President and Mike Pence had a “Good (great)” meeting in the Oval Office with NRA officials. I hope they kicked his ass after that televised dumpster fire meeting earlier this week.

The NRA tweeted about the meeting.

According to an NRA official, Trump and Pence “don’t want gun control.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson ripped Trump for his remarks at the bipartisan gun control meeting.

“Trump met w/ lawmakers on gun control where he bullied GOP who defend the 2S and said govt should ‘take guns first, go through due process second,'” Carlson said Thursday night.

“Imagine Obama saying something similar? He’d been denounced as a dictator. Congress would talk impeachment. Some would mutter secession,” Carlson said.

Let’s hope Trump got set straight last night.

“Andy’s office” McCabe target of DOJ IG

Former FBI employee and host to “meetings” in his “office” Andy McCabe is one of the targets of the DOJ Inspector General’s report to be released within the next few months.

The Department of Justice’s internal watchdog will criticize former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for authorizing leaks to the media and giving misleading statements to investigators about doing so, according to two new reports.

McCabe, 49, authorized FBI officials to speak to the media for articles prior to the 2016 election, including one about an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation, according to a report being prepared by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

The FBI No. 2 also misled watchdog investigators when they initially asked about the media disclosures, according to The Washington Post.

McCabe will censured, according to the report.

According to the Times, which cited four people familiar with the investigation into the department’s handling of the Clinton probe, McCabe will be censured for disclosing the investigation’s existence to the Journal.
