Blake’s one glorious word is what we’re all thinking when we see some of those “perfect” moms on Instagram:
Blake Lively recently chatted with Seth Meyers on Late Night to promote The Shallows, her new upcoming movie. The actress is currently pregnant with husband Ryan Reynolds’ baby (and the couple also has a toddler at home). Meyers, who also has a newborn, wanted to know how the expectant mom is doing.
Just like the rest of us, Lively gushed about how much she is not one of those perfect mamas that she follows on Instagram. She spoke specifically about one Insta-Mom, @oldjoy, who pretty much has the momming thing down to a science.
In reference to oldjoy, Blake said
Everything is white and she always has a fresh blueberry pie that’s steaming, and scones and clotted cream, and she’s reading The Old Man and the Sea and her little boy is…sleeping while [she’s] knitting,…and her toddler is giving her a reflexology massage…
My kid is…like…playing with explosive devices. I don’t know where she’s found them. Like sticking them in our dog’s ear. She already knows how to drywall because she puts holes in the wall. People don’t prepare you for this.
