Game On, Dude: October Video Game Sales Jump 18 Percent

Bucking the trend of declining consumer spending, the video game industry reports that yeart-over-year games sales rose a robust 18 percent in October.  Sales of hardware accounted for about 40 percent of the $1.3 Billion raked in by retailers with the Nintendo Wii leading the way with 800,000 units sold. The news is the once bright light in a dismal tech landscape and hopes are the trend continues through the holiday season.
