So, what does the Daily Beast think about its readers? Perhaps the juxtaposition of these two recent items might lend an answer:

— Headline at the Daily Beast yesterday.

“I introduced Oprah to my beloved housekeeper, Cynthia. Very happy moment.”

— Tweet from Tina Brown, the publisher of the Daily Beast today. John Podhoretz dubs it, “Perhaps history’s greatest tweet.”

When it comes to investing, Tina really knows how to stretch a dollar — and note that this isn’t the first time she’s had awkward moments involving servants. How dare they speak up in front of La Tina!
