Trump Caught on Hot Mic Saying He'll Release the FISA Memo '100 Percent'

As President Trump exited the House Chamber after his State of the Union speech Tuesday night, Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) implored the president, “Let’s release the memo.”

“Don’t worry — 100 percent!” Trump assured him. “Can you imagine that?” he added with a wave of his hand. As he moved on, Trump pointed at Duncan and said, “You’d be too angry …”

GOP lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines Monday to release the four-page memo detailing alleged surveillance abuses. Now, it’s up to President Trump to decide whether to release the controversial document.

The White House, which has a maximum of five days to object to the memo’s release, said it would “conduct a legal and national security review” before the president makes the decision.
