President Donald Trump stood before a large crowd of supporters inside an airplane hangar in Melbourne, Fla., Saturday evening to speak to the American people “without the filter of the fake news.”

At one point during his speech, Trump recognized a man in the crowd he had seen interviewed on the local news earlier in the day. The man, identified as Gene Hubber, had arrived at 4 a.m. to line up for the 5:00 p.m. campaign rally.  Later on, he told Fox News that it was his third Trump rally and the first time he was first in line.

“We the people, our movement is the reason why our president of the United States is standing in front of us today,” Hubber said after Trump gave him the microphone. “When President Trump, during the election, promised all these things he was going to do for us — I knew he was going to do this for us!!!” Hubber exclaimed fervidly.

Trump shook his hand and said, “a star is born!”
