'Jeopardy!' Host Alex Trebek Is Done With Chemotherapy

On Thursday, NBC’s classic game show Jeopardy! made some news with a trailer for its 35th season. In March, the show’s beloved host Alex Trebek announced he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The Jeopardy! promo revealed that Trebek has finished chemotherapy.

“I’ve gone through a lot of chemotherapy and thankfully that is now over. I’m on the mend, and that’s all I can hope for right now,” the host says in the trailer.

I can’t imagine Jeopardy! without Alex Trebek, and I hope he continues to host the show for many years yet. I grew up watching the show with my impressive grandmother — who is still substitute teaching and running the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure into her 80s. If she can do that, Trebek can keep hosting for many years to come!
