I Got Them Frigid Wintertime Blues

A brandy and soda, some good tunes — what could be finer to while away a cold winter’s night?

A well-known 1970s lament, this song used the season of winter as a metaphor for those things troubling America at the time. Whatever his intent, it’s a damn fine song:
