You know Roald Dahl for children’s books such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, Matilda and other classics for little ones.

He would’ve been 100 years old today.

In this interview from 1984, Roald Dahl opens up about his experience as an author of children’s books, his service as a WWII Royal Air Force pilot, and much more.

Just like his books, Mr. Dahl has some incredible and humorous stories to share — including his time in the FDR White House. You’ll also be interested to hear his reason for why he didn’t write horror stories.
