Getting high in Boulder

Yeah, I know, and Sun Rises In East.

But this is different.  A friend of mine here in Boulder, Dan Durda of the Southwest Research institute, is one of three space scientists there who have signed up to become commercial astronauts, flying experiments on Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShip Two and XCOR’s Lynx.

He was covered in the local paper today; it’s worth a read.

I am, of course, horribly jealous: they don’t send logicians on trips like that.
