Karl Marx developed an ideology responsible for more mass murder than any other ideology in world history. But Amazon is selling a book called Communism for Kids, trying to convince very young American children that Marxism has made the world a better place.
Woke educators at universities are assiduously lying about socialism to their students, but after all, a majority of Americans still don't have college degrees, so brainwashing college students isn't good enough. That's why diehard Marxists or oligarchs disguised as Communists are trying to lie about socialism to kids at younger and younger ages.
Using the best available estimates regarding Communist massacres and purges in China, Cambodia, Russia, Cuba, and Vietnam, we can say that Marxist ideology has cost the lives of at least 524 million or more than half a billion people. And frankly, that's a conservative estimate, especially since it doesn't include all the Westerners killed fighting Communist regimes.
None of that, you can bet, is in the book Communism for Kids: Learn What Communism Is and How It Has Changed the World for Babies, Toddlers, Kids and Young Children. I hope you notice that this book is allegedly appropriate for babies -- not the hundreds of millions of babies the Chinese Commies killed through abortion or infanticide, but Western babies who must be taught to loathe freedom and capitalism before they can speak full sentences. And they will also learn about the different attempts to make a communist society and why they all failed. It is possible to read a sample of the book, which portrays a cutesy cartoon Marx dancing about with scales and money, teaching everyone to be "equal" and put everyone else's interests above their own. Leaving out human nature and the utter impossibility of equal outcomes, it sounds lovely, doesn't it? Especially if you ignore the fact that Marxist revolutions only happen when socialists ignore the rights and property of others to seize goods for themselves. "In a Communist society, the public owns everything," Esmond Cooper, the book's author, asserts. The starving peoples of the Soviet Union and Communist China were not available for comment.

Communism is of course inherently destructive. Even in its "pure" form it is little more than an ideology of wrecking. Marx was a lazy, entitled, bitter academic who wanted financial success and political power without putting in all the requisite effort. He was angry at God and angry at the wealthy, and so his "solution" was to advocate erasing religion, killing the financially successful, dismantling the government, and seizing the "means of production." But after the revolution is over, Marxism offers no ideas that are not wholly in the realm of fantasy. That is why every country that has undergone a Marxist revolution ends up as a dictatorship worse than the previous government. Communism can knock down, but it cannot build up.
And that's why Marxists have to come up with absolutely ridiculous excuses such as "Communism has never been applied rightly" or "those mass murderers were not true Communists." The only way to defend Marxism is if one stubbornly persists in rejecting reality in favor of rosy-sounding fantasy. Hence, it is easier to brainwash the next generation of Marxists at a very early age, so that they grow up believing socialist lies are incontrovertible facts, without ever stopping to measure socialism against reality and history.
