Besides funding the KKK and other white supremacists, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has also been busily engaged in undermining the integrity of U.S. elections.
When leftists talk about how they want to "get out the vote" and help "underrepresented communities" have "a voice" in our elections, that's code for "illegal voting, Democrat voter-bribing, and underhanded vote harvesting." The SPLC is no different.
In fact, since at least the 2020 election, the SPLC has had an initiative devoted to election-shaping efforts. From the SPLC webpage about its election-meddling initiative:
Vote Your Voice (VYV) is an initiative of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a fund at Tides Foundation that supports nonpartisan nonprofit organizations working to advance full voter participation and fair representation across the Deep South. VYV centers around historically excluded and underrepresented communities and invests in organizations with a demonstrated commitment to voter education, civic engagement and voting access.
Launched in 2020 with a commitment of $130 million over 10 years, VYV was created to move beyond short-term, election-cycle funding and toward sustained, year-round engagement that strengthens democratic participation and community leadership over time.
Now a lot of what is listed on the site is meaningless jargon, such as "[s]trengthen community leadership," "[a]ddress barriers to voter participation", and "[r]espect for organizational capacity." One X influencer claimed the SPLC had funded drop boxes in Georgia in 2020, but I have not been able to verify the source on the SPLC's own site. What is certain, however, is that the SPLC is working to undercut election integrity in 2026.

You see, the SPLC has put out one press release after another about the horrors of the SAVE America Act and federal efforts to clear illegal aliens and dead people off voter rolls. For instance, on April 20, the SPLC celebrated: “Senate Fails to Advance SAVE Act, Millions of Voters Retain Their Right to Vote for Now.” Laura Williamson, senior policy advisor at the SPLC, gloated, “While we know opponents of a multiracial, inclusive democracy will continue to push the SAVE Act and other attempts to block the right to vote, we know the American people will continue to reject these efforts and have the power to stop them."
The SAVE Act simply requires people to present valid IDs in order to register to vote, thus preventing non-citizens from voting. It's insane this is even remotely controversial. In fact, the SAVE Act is so straightforward that the SPLC has to invent nonsense to justify its opposition, as for instance asserting fewer than a third of Mississippi and Alabama citizens have passports, and millions of married women have different last names from the one that is on their birth certificates. All of that is utterly irrelevant, because these citizens can register to vote with other forms of ID. The only reason to oppose the SAVE Act is if the SPLC is worried about non-citizens not being able to vote.
On April 1 — appropriately, April Fools' Day — the SPLC also announced that it opposed Donald Trump's executive order requiring that mail-in ballots only go to eligible voters, and in specially marked envelopes to avoid fraud. The SPLC claimed this was a violation of voting rights that is "further threatening American democracy."
Incidentally, if anyone feels inclined to contact the FBI, the SPLC is still claiming that right-leaning "militias" are mobilizing to threaten our nation, with Charlie Kirk as their inspiration. The FBI last year cut its ties with the SPLC, because the latter's role in smearing Kirk before his assassination was so blatantly encouraging of violence, but the SPLC continues to hype up a white supremacist threat that isn't there (except when they fund it). What an insidious organization the SPLC is.
