While the United Nations gins up global empathy for terrorist-loving Gazans, insisting that Israel cave to jihadi demands of major territorial concessions, civilians in northern Israel are under continual attack from Hezbollah.
While politicians speechify, college students riot, and media figures sob about Hamas-reported casualties in Gaza, there is little to no empathy for Israeli civilians who are under attack from Lebanon-based terrorist Hezbollah. The left promotes Hamas's claims to Israeli land while ignoring Israeli pleas. What is this but Jew-hatred, impure and simple? Western leftists — especially at the UN — and a few “conservatives” care about Gazans but not about Israelis because Israel is a Jewish state. How shameful that less than a century after the Holocaust, much of the world is so blatantly antisemitic!
The state of Israel’s X account regularly posts about Hezbollah rocket attacks on northern Israel and the Galilee. Jewish, Muslim, and Christian Israelis all must live in fear for their lives. In July, a Hezbollah attack left 12 Druze children dead and some 50 people injured in the village of Majdal Shams. Israel’s X account also today shared video of an Israeli home ruined by a rocket (fortunately, the family escaped in time).

Yet the UN has given “Palestine” a seat in the General Assembly and issued outrageous demands for Israel to vacate much of its territory, including the ancient Jewish capital of Jerusalem! Muslim Arabs have only ever controlled Jerusalem after unjustly invading and driving out Jews or Christians — including Jordan’s devastating desecration of Jerusalem in 1948 — but now the UN wants to assist that land-stealing. The UN even condemned Israel’s brilliant plan to target Lebanese terrorists (rather than civilians) with exploding pagers, yet ignored the multiple Hamas jihadis who are UNRWA employees!

The Muslim Arabs have always refused their own state (ie., the much-touted two-state solution), though they already have one (Jordan), because they will be satisfied only with the total extinction of Israel. There is no occupation. Israel keeps giving aid and land to the “Palestinians,” but unsurprisingly, it turns out you cannot appease genocidal terrorists whose religion endorses the killing of all non-Muslims, especially Jews. The modern and exceptionally legal rebirth of Israel did not include all the ancient land of Israel because Islamic Arabs, who launched what is now nearly a century of almost continuous jihad against Israel, still occupy some of that land. Now the UN wants them to occupy more?
To refer this back to the topic of Hezbollah and Lebanon, Lebanon was a majority-Christian country within living memory, but too many Muslims were allowed to move in. They eventually launched a Jihad war that enabled them to take over. Now Lebanon is a base for terrorism against Israel at the expense of the Lebanese people, and the Christian population has plunged. That is a sobering warning of what could happen if Israel were forced to agree to UN and Hamas demands.
Ever since Israel ceded the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians, it has become nothing but a breeding ground for terrorism and for virulent hatred of Jews. A majority of the “Palestinians” support genocidal jihad and Hamas even as Hamas endangers and robs them, using them as human shields. One cannot ever appease cultish terrorists enough, and trying to do so is suicidal.
