Disney Partners with Meta, CCP-Tied TikTok Amid X Boycott

The Disney Company is pretending that ethical concerns prompted pulling its advertising from Twitter/X. But when it comes to sexual exploitation-ridden Facebook and Instagram or Chinese Communist Party-tied TikTok, Disney couldn’t be more enthusiastic.

The reality is that the Disney Company does not have such high ethics that it couldn’t stand to be on X. This has to do with its objections to Elon Musk’s various comments against wokeism that irritated leftists. I am certainly no fan of Elon Musk, who is in bed with our existential enemy, the genocidal Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Musk recently increased his business with Communist China, and censorship still occurs on Twitter/X on a daily basis (check out CensorTrack.org for a few examples). But the fact remains that Disney’s objection to Twitter/X is not an ethical one about anti-Semitism but a political one. And this is made perfectly clear by the fact that Disney is increasing its business with Meta and TikTok, despite grave moral problems with the tech companies.

The privacy and national security risks of TikTok have been so widely canvassed now that you’d have to be willfully ignorant, a Democrat (oops — sorry for repeating myself), or living under a San Francisco bridge to be unaware of all those risks. China’s national security laws require all companies to share data with the government, which would include TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance. The CCP owns a board seat and financial stake in ByteDance, too. TikTok is also censorship-heavy. For instance, it censors content to please the CCP, and it recently bragged of removing hundreds of thousands of videos related to the Hamas-Israel conflict. Yet CCP-loving Disney is unfazed.

TikTok proudly announced in a press release, “Disney+ and Hulu will stream highlights from the first-of-its-kind In The Mix music event, as a one hour special, beginning on December 15.” TikTok’s Global Head of Music Partnerships and Programming Paul Hourican rejoiced, “We wanted to make sure that if you couldn’t make it to Arizona or catch the global livestreams on TikTok, that our music-loving community would still have a way to watch In The Mix, and Disney+ and Hulu are making that a reality.” So beautiful. Thank goodness Disney, which can’t stand to advertise on X, is there to help promote TikTok content.

Then there’s the sexual exploitation epidemic on Meta’s Instagram. Reuters reported, “Disney, Comcast increase U.S. ad spending on Instagram after dropping Musk's X — report.” Why is that such a problem? As the Christian Post reported, “Instagram Reels exposing kids to ‘overtly sexual content’ next to Disney ads: report.” The New Mexico Attorney General also accused Facebook and Instagram of enabling child predators to reach and manipulate their young targets. Where are Disney’s ethical concerns about Meta? Why is it increasing its ad spending on Instagram amid such a scandal, if its ethics are so high?

Again, the Disney company is completely hypocritical. It is trying to punish Twitter/X for the fact that Elon Musk verbally expresses views that trigger leftists. Meanwhile, Disney continues to support corrupt Meta and the CCP tool TikTok.
