Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor may have just sealed his defeat this fall. In an interview that aired on religious network MSNBC, Pryor attacked Republican Rep. Tom Cotton’s military service. Cotton is running to replace Pryor in the Senate.
Pryor said of Cotton, “I think that’s part of this sense of entitlement, that he gives off, that is almost like, I served my country, therefore let me into the Senate. That’s not the way it works in Arkansas.”
Pryor provided no evidence, of course. Because there isn’t any. Cotton underwent officer training and ranger school in the US Army. Neither of those experiences fosters a sense of entitlement. Neither did Cotton’s tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
