Lady, the whole world knew what Obama was going to say to you yesterday. There was no mystery. He wouldn’t schedule the interview, cancel the daily press briefing, and make a big deal out of what he planned to say, if he was just going to say the same thing he’s been saying for eight years.
If you didn’t know what he was going to say…well, maybe that’s part of why he picked you for the job. You were the one person on the planet who might be surprised by it. He picked you because you’re a weak interviewer.
“Whatever people think about this issue, we know it’s controversial, there’s no denying when a president speaks out for the first time like that, it is history,” co-host of ABC’s “Good Morning America” George Stephanopoulos said to Robin Roberts.
“And let me tell you, George, I’m getting chills again,” “Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts said about her interview with Obama.
“When you sit in that room and you hear him say those historic words. It was not lost on anyone in there right there. You never know what he’s going to say until you ask him,” she added.
I thought, when it came out that Obama picked Roberts because she’s a known pushover, she might be offended by that, at least professionally if not personally. The problem with that is, she has to know enough to know that being called out as a pushover is a bad thing. The rot in the MSM is even worse than I thought.
This whole spectacle is depressing. Wherever you stand on the issue, it’s a serious one and one upon which it’s impossible to make everyone happy. Instead of treating it seriously, the president piles on one charade after another, and the MSM passes it off as if he’s not just playing games with everyone. It’s sickening.
