VIDEO: S.C.'s Mulvaney Tries to Bring Obama's Non-Existent Budget to the Floor

Last night, Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) testified before the House Rules Committee in an attempt to bring President Obama’s non-existent budget to the House floor for a vote.

“For the president not to offer a budget and to not offer that vision especially in light of the things he has said was amazing to me,” Mulvaney said. “What was more stunning, Mr. Chairman, was what he did despite what the law says. The law requires him to do this. The law requires him to offer a budget.”

The amendment to the continuing resolution is expected with the package on the floor today. Per the Rules Committee, Mulvaney’s amendment will get 20 minutes of debate while the others, including the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Progressive Caucus budget substitutes, get half an hour.
